I am sitting here, reading Appaloosa when a thought occurred to me. Reinhard should give a Ted Talk. I have seen enough of them to know you do not have to be Marilyn vos Savant to give a Ted Talk. I do believe Reinhard is significantly above and beyond, and he would give an excellent Ted.

So, I do not know how that works but some one sign him up. Make it a birthday surprise.

I never thought about how people end up doing TED talks. I guess I thought they were invited, but who knows how anyone gets on that list. But I agree, though I am not sure he wants any notariety.(sp) He could certainly have it. But it seems his life as it is is compelling and fulfilling.

There is an organization that will help people get ready to pitch to do a Ted Talk, for a price. I don't know what that price is, but if I had a great message as coordinated as Reinhard's, I'd consider it. The guy doing the training is one who got started on Ted Talks because he had figured out a way to build little school houses in poverty-stricken areas in three hours. It seemed he was not in THAT for the money so maybe he is not just a snake. He teaches how to find areas where they want people. Cambridge might not be that place, as I imagine they have TED worthy talkers everywhere. But I'd watch Reinhard daily just to boost his viewership.

Also, I'm posting this on multiple threads, in case people didn't see the post in September, as I didn't until this week.

We had TedX show up in the town where I live. My daughter's father-in-law gave one. I do not know the connection between Ted and TedX. However, I think in general, TedX does not have the same quality as Ted.

Oh that's a great idea! He would be great for that.
I think you can be invited but you can also apply or be nominated to give a talk. I would pitch in for a nomination.
