Happy Easter

Post by Soprano » Sun Apr 09, 2023 6:08 am

Hope you are all having a lovely Easter break.

No eggs for me, I just don't find chocolate that appealing anymore. Though occasionally I do buy a bar of 85% dark choc and have a square or 2 after a meal.

Belated all-purpose spring good wishes! This is my third Peeps-et-al-less Easter. It's actually a relief not to dicker at all over buying discount candy after the holiday. I used to give myself relative free rein with dark chocolate as long as I kept to my limit of 10 grams of added sugar a day, any day, no bigger allowance on S days. It means I usually eat 85% or higher cocoa content. However, after my annual lipid panel, I've joined the low saturated fat camp. I will post a bit more on my thread about it. In order to allow for other foods that are higher priority, it means the dark chocolate candy doesn't fit on the plate often. Who would have thought that just the memory of the sweets is enough to satisfy?

I gave up on dark chocolate through frustration. Any more than 2 squares and my body started rebelling, but my brain still wanted to eat more. Grrr.
