Hi, haven't gotten the book yet so I am confused on the term "OPTIMIZED" oatmeal. What is optimized oatmeal?

Reinhard eats rough cut oatmeal with dried fruit, some sort of seeds (like sunflower seeds) and nuts for lunch most days.

It's nutritionally sound, easy to make and quite filling.

This is the podcast that discusses it http://everydaysystems.com/podcast/episode.php?id=23

Haven't listened to the podcast, but I'll tell you my version of oatmeal. I add a couple of tablespoons of pumpkin (started on that when I was pregnant), cook it, and then add a couple of tablespoons of ground flax meal, 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon, and dried blueberries.
It's more of a waste around the waist than it is in the garbage pail.
