Godiva Victory

Post by resting52 » Tue Apr 22, 2008 11:08 pm

Well, I had a real victory yesterday. Went with dh to the coast overnight and stayed in a lovely bed and breakfast. There beside the bed was a Godiva chocolate. All I could think of was that I wasn't going to let that little square of chocolate keep me from getting a green day on my HabitCal. What a treat to get home a bit ago and mark that day GREEN. The Godiva is in my purse waiting for the weekend.

I love the tools, like HabitCal, on this website-they are so encouraging!

YaHoo!

Enjoyed nibbling my way through the Godiva at work on Saturday-it was a memorable treat. Instead of plopping the entire piece in my mouth at once, I actually savored it!

Maybe, just maybe, I need to slow down and enjoy all my meals that way.

What? Savor a MEAL?

Why, madam, if you do that, you'll be betraying the whole concept of Being on a Diet. How COULD you?

Food is SUPPOSED to be a painful, difficult struggle unless you want to be a totally self-indulgent hedonist with no control, right?

Noel,

Too funny! I'm so ready to put an end to this very long chapter in my life. I can't remember a time when I was not on a diet. How sad.
