Starting tomorrow

Post by marebear » Mon May 05, 2008 12:08 am

:P Hi all- I am putting my best foot forward and starting the no "s'' diet tomorrow. Any great suggestions of how to succeed at this? What do you all eat for typical meals?

Welcome, Marebear!

Best suggestion of how to be successful at this is to follow the rules. Mostly likely it will be harder at first, but keep on keepin' on -- it gets easier as time goes by.

What typically is eaten at meals was asked recently. Here's the link:

Try not to stress too much about it. The rules are minimal and they are simple. Following them may not be but you will get to be better at it. Don't beat yourself up if you have a failure but get right back on track. Use the HabitCal to monitor your progress in changing your habits.
Eat regular food, have a plate full, but not over full. Remember the food rules and make sure you get something from all the food groups (my rule). Stay off the scale. Read the info. on the home page whenever you are unsure. Take part in the discussions when you can.
Best of luck to you in obtaining a healthy lifestyle. You can do this!!

:? Well my first week was ok. This one plate rule is hard for me to get down. It was an emotional week and therefore I had some slip ups. Hopefully next week will be better. I so want to lose weight!

Hi and welcome. If you screw up, don't punish yourself, just get back on.
Good luck.

Hello and Welcome! Things do get easier. None of us are perfect all the time. Just start over. The wonderful thing is that you do not have to start over tomorrow, you can start over at your next meal. Remember if you get too hungry between meals, reach for water, milk, vegetable juice or some other suitable liquid. I keep milk and V-8 in the refrigerator at work. God BLess and Good Luck and keep posting.
