Thought it might be interesting to get some demographic info of current No-sers

Currently, females "outweigh" males (pardon the pun) about 4:1

Still too early to call it definitively, but I wonder if this is in fact close to the overall pattern here?

There is Josie, the outside kitty. Doesn't she have pretty eyes?

And Garfield (orange), Jasmine (black), and Festus (brown). They all live inside, obviously!

And Will, who gets to come and go as he pleases.

A total of five kitties. Not so crazy at all...considering that when I was fostering litters of kittens, at one point I had a total of 19 cats here! LOL!

Yes. Yes, I am.

Oh, I see. I'm male, 28 5'9"ish and have only a vague idea of how much I weigh (~150lb, but I haven't seen a scale in six months unless you count the one in the kitchen).

I also enjoy the presence of cats. And dogs, in fact. I have neither.

Reinhard indicated in a thread a while ago that numbers used to be fairly even 'twixt the genders. Mayhap the publicity has attracted more ladyfolk? I found the site through Google originally, but have forgotten why I was searching.

You know, I can't remember exactly how I found out about No-s either.... a mention on another site would be my guess, but I can't recall which. Might have been ironsports.tv....

My unquantified feeling is that it used to be roughly 50/50, but then Woman's World happened.

Another one of those women from Woman's World here... I learned about No-S at the other WW (Weight Watchers). As soon as I read about it in the magazine, I quit WW, OA, and dieting forever. This is what I've been looking for for years! Oh, and I have 2 cats and a Jack Russell Terrier, since we seem to be tracking those here too...

I discovered No S while reading Slate and waiting for water to boil; it's the best waste of a few minutes that I have ever had! I am female, 55 years old, and enjoying every day with No S. Even when I screw up and have to give myself a yellow mark, I am feeling guilt-free.

My guess is that if you polled the shovelglove list it would be the reverse. :)

Female--45. I have a wonderful husband, 3 step-children & 4 cats. We had only 1 cat but then a feral cat came up & had 4 kittens & then disappeared. I gave one of the kittens away but still have the other 3--Lord Winston, Sir Oliver & Lady Chaz. They're 10 weeks old & my other cat (Frannie Cat) is 3 years.

female, one lovebird named Charlie :)

I actually can't remember when I found the NoS site but I think I was googling around after trying some other more restricted diets and I've been off and on it but this year I got more serious and I am finally seeing results. Even my family noticed.

Female, 33. Three kids, one husband, and 1 chocolate lab mix named Phoebe. I glanced at the No-S site probably a year ago or so, but didn't do anything about it. Then I heard about it again on the T-Tapp forums a couple months ago. After a couple of false starts and falling off the wagon for a bit, I'm baaaaack....

I am a "baby" as everybody over 35 seems to consider me. . .

I'm 23 and I just want to keep my weight healthy and within a healthy BMI for life.
