Still losing steadily...

Post by TunaFishKid » Wed Sep 09, 2009 1:11 pm

Hi, Tuna here again. I weighed myself this morning because my jeans felt a little loose. Imagine my shock at seeing 184! When I started No S at the end of April I weighed 197lbs. I've lost 13 lbs. despite a few lapses, including an August vacation that resulted in a four pound gain!

Three pounds a month sounds excruciatingly slow, but it sure adds up. I haven't weighed this much (or should I say "this little") in at least ten years, I think.

Ten pounds a month that comes back with more v. three pounds a month that stays away forever due to lifelong habit?

Hmmm.... I think you made the better call by far.

Congratulations!

Congratulations! With slower weight loss, you really have to keep the big picture in mind. Thinking about how much you will lose in 6 months, instead of how much you want to lose each week, really does help. Keep up the great work.

That's lovely, Laura. Nothing nicer than having one's jeans feel a little loose. That's the feeling I'm aiming for, whatever the pesky scale says 8)

Thanks, guys. The only problem I've had is the temptation to go on a diet, which hits me every once in a while when I hear about someone who's lost fifty pounds in six months, or something like that. Then I have to remind myself that weight lost quickly almost always comes back...plus more, just like NoelFigart said.

13 pounds! That's almost 3 bags of flour! Just think about carrying those around the house all day. You've done great! Congratulations...
