I love the no-s forums! (Comparison of this forum to 3fc)

I'm really liking this forum because the people are so nice and helpful... and mostly everyone appears... happy! I used to be on 3fc forums (3 fat chicks). They were helpful... but it often irritated me because so many people (usually women) were so specific, and even just obsessive about how things SHOULD BE DONE. It got the point that I became irritated to just sign in and read people's topics like: "I'm going to try this and see if it works". And the next person would reply: "NO NO NO! You're not gonna do it that way." and then put in a comment on how they've been "noticing" how you don't stick to anything and you need to do it "their way". UGH!
But that doesn't happen so much on this site. In fact, I enjoy reading the topics here. Everyone seems much... calmer.
Which brings me to the topic of: Instead of being obsessed with just food and weight loss, some people are just addicted to having other people do it "their way" or sticking to the diet to a "T". They worry SO MUCH about following their diet perfectly, and being the nutritional harpie, that it was just going to turn into bad blood.
I'm glad this way of eating focuses on habits and not weight loss... because it's no fun being obsessed with your own weight. I'm starting to learn that trusting in a plan is a lot more important than other seemingly important things.
Anyway... I'm just happy to be on this forum... and I'm glad to have decided to eat like this... FOR LIFE, instead of a year of two until my goal weight... then have it all tumble back on me because I never even got there to begin with.
I'm glad the simplicity of this "diet" doesn't drive people up the wall... which just is reinforcement that it works.
