Meal Times

Hi Y'all,

I was browsing the daily check ins and was really glad to see some examples of what people ate at meals. I was wondering, though, WHEN most people eat? I've been eating breakfast at 6:30 (early job!), Lunch at 11:30, a small snack at 4 and Dinner at 7:30.

But I'd love to hear when other people eat, because at some point I'd like to get rid of that snack...

Thanks!
Jane

I wake at 6:00, drink 2 coffees (really cafe au lait, so it's a serving of milk too) on the way to work.
I eat breakfast at my desk at 8:30, after I exercise.
Lunch is 12 -12:30 ish
Dinner is 6:30 - 7:00

The 4pm snack was hardest for me to drop too.

Edited to say: I actually wake a little before 6 and leave the house just after... usually around 6:15 (pack the night before, throw on gym clothes, grab coffee and go).

Breakfast: 7:30 (if I eat it -- I'm not much of a breakfast eater)
Lunch: 12:00-12:30
Dinner: 6:00

I had to chuckle at your comment about eating breakfast at 6:30 because you have an "early" job. When I was working I had to be at work somewhere between 4:30-6:00 AM, usually 5:30. At the last place I worked, many people came in between 3:30 and 4:00 -- mostly due to lack of organization!

Breakfast: 7:30 or 8
1st Snack: 10
Lunch: 11:30 or 12
2nd Snack: 2ish
Dinner: 6:30/7 pm

Sometimes there's a very small 3rd snack around 4 because, hey, I'm pregnant. Only gained 5 lbs so far. Right on track.

Here's my "eating schedule"

Breakfast: 8:00-8:30
Lunch 12:00-1:00
Dinner 6:30-7:30

For my first two weeks I also had a 3:00-4:00 afternoon snack that I was convinced that I couldn't do without. Then one day I thought to myself "I'm not really hungry, I wonder what would happen if I skipped it?" and I found that I got to dinner just fine. I was able to skip it the next day too and I realized it was totally mental. For the rest of the first month I gave myself the option of having it but I never took it. I guess it just made me feel "safe" to know it was an option.

Breakfast: between 7-8am
Lunch: between 12-1pm
Dinner: between 6-7pm

Everything usually gets pushed back a bit on the weekend, but it works for me. I usually sit down to my meal pretty hungry, but not usually famished (though if I do feel that way, I'll usually have a glass of almond milk to tide me over).

Breakfast: 8.00 am

Lunch: 1.00 pm

Dinner: 6.30 pm

Plus a piece of fruit at about 9.30 pm.

I used to have an afternoon snack like you, because otherwise I found it hard not to binge when preparing dinner. Over time I've been able to drop the afternoon snack, and as my weight has gone down I have had to reduce what I eat further in order to (I hope) start to make progress again rather than maintaining. Having said that, I would not want to go 8 hours between lunch and dinner regularly.
