TV Snacking

I have, over the years, been a mindless "sit in front of the TV snacker." Since starting No S (again) a few weeks back, I have seemed to have put that issue to rest for the time being.

I have been off work since last Friday do to the Holiday and snow days. I have not had a "fail day" during that week. N Days have been N days, and S days have been S days.

Even watching some football and some futball, I have managed not to sit and snack endlessly.

The next big challenge will be in three weeks when I go on Christmas Break for two weeks. My wife and kids will spend the whole time baking and making Holiday snacks.

Good luck to me.

Good job with the no snacking during t.v. I've been a t.v. snacker since childhood. I also have to eat while I read (which I like to do alot).

I seem to have finally gotten to the point of watching t.v. without eating, and actually paying attention to the show and not thinking about everything I could be eating at the moment.

Good luck during Christmas break. Save all the holiday goodies for your S days and then ENJOY. :D

Ain't it great to find out that eating and TV can be totally separate? I discovered that about going to the movies years ago. I don't think I've gotten any food at the movies for 25 years, unless I hadn't had a meal in several hours. I usually go after a meal, and I'm just not hungry then! Being a cheapskate helps there; paying more for a soda than I would for a 6-pack of Coke (which I rarely buy anyway) puts a damper on that scene for me.

Too bad the snacks people buy for TV watching couldn't have some surtax on them! (Dang those discount markets and their 12-oz. bags of chocolate for $2.) But that would constitute a regressive tax, so I guess I'll just have to keep biting the No S bullet.
