I walked through Barnes and Nobles and Diet books attacked me from every angle. I am sticking to no s and i will not be tempted. Someone posted something about carbs and I will repeat myself here. going no or low carbs, cals, or whatever is like going under water. It is okay right at first, but your going to have to give in eventually. Doing no s and running has put me in the best shape I think I have ever been in.
remember with no s

you don't have to buy an expensive book
You don't have to buy special food
You don't have to forbid anything from your life
You don't have to weigh anything, well... except for yourself:)
You don't have to mark down any numbers or points

I'm enjoying the mental image of someone fending off a bodily attack of trade paper and hardback books. Next time, bring a lighter. That's like garlic to vampires.

Of course, the time of year has a lot to do with it. Diet books sell this time of year.

I had a similar experience several years ago. I remember thinking "we don't need another diet book."

It's not necessary to weigh yourself, either.

ImageMany of you know that I've had a great deal of Success by viewing Dieting as a Hobby.
Part of this Hobby is reading new diet books,
and I continually learn new tips and tricks
and receive inspiration in this way.
That is how I came across the No S Diet book, which has been very helpful to me.
Because of my Hobby, I love this time of year. Image
People get more open and more interested in dieting ideas.
So many new books come out to read...most of them with the same old concepts,
but occasionally...although rarely...a really great new book comes out.
ImageOne like Why We Get Fat and What To Do About It by Gary Taubes.
This is a book that really gives me a new way to look at things,
and encourages me to continue onward.
The end of this month will be the anniversary of my 5th year
of Maintaining my current weight.
Despite all I've experienced and all I already know,
I can always learn more, and I like doing that.
