Losing weight is expensive!

Post by jarls252 » Sun Jan 09, 2011 3:11 am

4 months No-Sing and over 20 pounds lost. I went to have my suits altered and the guy said “you must have lost at least 20 poundsâ€. “Yes†I said impressed by his mastery but also hiding a small grin inside. “Can you fix them?†“I just bought them last year and spent $500!†He told me no and that they would look silly altering them that much.

Glad I didn’t have to buy all those fad diet products and can put my money toward new clothes.

Heya Jarls! Great story! Congratulations!!

Maybe you could donate your suits to a homeless shelter, that way you can at least take a tax deduction for them next year! Lots of people need clothes for interviews, especially in these times.

Enjoy shopping. On the brighter side, it's a great time of year to get bargains! :)

Congratulations! I've been doing No S for 16 months and have had to replace my entire wardrobe a couple times. I spent years replacing my clothes with bigger and bigger sizes; it's a lot more fun the other way around!

Enjoy your new suits!

Congratulations!

I was watching the tube yesterday and Slim-Fast had rented a whole channel from Direct TV. I keep a tub around the house for when I'm in a hurry, etc. But I can't imagine how much it would cost to do their 1-2-3 Program, two shakes and three snacks a day? Then you eat the sensible meal.

Also, for suits, go to Amazon.com, I picked up a couple of Fellini Uomo suits (listed at $1500 each) for $99 each. I had them tailored and they are very nice.
