Can this be right!!!!????

Post by hecarte » Mon May 16, 2011 2:05 pm

I'm super new to the forum and to the No S Diet. I've been following it for 10 days now and have found it so easy to follow - I mean the concept is so simple.

As I don't have any scales I decided to measure my waist and hips instead. So, my waits measured 34.5 inches on the day I started doing No S. Today it measure 33.5 - have I really lost an inch from my waist? Maybe it's from detoxing from all the sugar I was eating. I'm not sure. I've measured several times and it's definately an inch smaller.

that's great! as long as you're not pulling tightly on the measuring tape, it is probably correct :)

There's definitely a bloat factor. I don't know that I would call it detoxing but I feel puffier and weigh more on the weekends than I do during the week.

Yes, it's possible. Don't expect the same rate all the time! The body does its thing. Just focus on the habits. Try not to figure everything out. This program is as much about letting go of it all as it is about losing weight.

@oolala53 Thanks for that I totally agree. I'm a Buddhist so I very much like the concept of 'letting go'.

I've had two failure days this week though because I ate a biscuit on Monday then today I was at college until late so had to snack as I was going shaky from low blood sugar. But I snacked on a banana, some raisins and almonds so it wasn't a major fail lolol.

Welcome to No S! You are right, the rules are simple, and they are effective.

It sounds like you did not let your small failures ruin your whole day. This is key to eventual success so stick with that!
