Dropped off a book at the doctor's office this morning

Post by SpiritSong » Fri Jul 29, 2011 4:02 pm

I am down 16 pounds since my last visit, which made her very happy since I have been either up or steady for ... um ... ever. I told her about No S, and gave her one of my two extra copies of the book to read.

She thought it sounded like a great idea, and of course, she had some proof that it worked right in front of her, so that helped. :D

So I helped spread the gospel this morning. 8)

Great! That sounds testimonial-worthy.

Congratulations!

And thank you for being a "Gideon" of no-s. :-)

Hotel rooms! I was just wondering where else one could deposit NoS books ...

My local library, unfortunately, can't offer me any guarantee that they would actually put donated books into the circulating collection, rather than selling them to raise money. (They might, they might not.) And when I face the librarian and cry, "Don't you *understand*? People *need* to read this book!", they tend to back rapidly away and/or call for Security. [*]

The No S Diet book is on sale at amazon for $5 and change. I just bought 3 of them; one for my twin sister, one for my friend, and one to possibly leave in the faculty room at work come September. I got an extra great deal because I get free shipping. So if anyone wants to buy an extra one or two and leave it on the subway, a park bench, etc., this may be a great time to buy. :)

Great job! For those interested in spreading the word by leaving books in public places, check out www.bookcrossing.com. It's a book tracking site, really neat.
Back after a long hiatus.
