Success!

Post by haley145 » Wed Mar 14, 2012 1:46 am

I just realized I had a success last week although it may not sound like it at first. Last week we went out to an Indian restaurant and I like to get a mango lassi (mango drink with SUGAR) but it was a Wednesday. My fiancee told me to not worry about it and just get it, so I did, meaning that the day was a fail. Now in my past attempts at NoS, having the drink would have meant a downward spiral of eating sweets for the rest of the night and possibly into the next day. This time, however, I had the drink and was not tempted to go all out and REALLY fail for the day. I am really happy that I was able to have something during the week and not let it derail me. That doesn't mean I will start doing this on a regular basis but I am happy to know that a red day will not throw me off as easily as it has in the past.

Not everyone would consider lassi a fail, nor would it be considered a good idea to have it all the time. Technically, we can eat fried chicken all the time, but I'd bet most people don't.
