From Shape Magazine: 7 Quirky Weight Loss Strategies that Really Work. One of the strategies is no snacking. It specifically mentions No S.

No S was the best part of the article.

Wow. It might have been helpful if I had actually posted the link. Thank you, Wosnes! :-)

REad my last comment and it sounded snarkier than I wanted. I'm actually VERY glad it was mentioned and regret only that it was just in passing. It needs to be a regular feature, though I think Reinhard's whole point is that it isn't that complicated. However, time has shown that implementation is still tricky. Or perhaps surrender is.

I think the problem isn't that implementation is tricky; it's that we've become used to eating anything, any time, anywhere. This has happened only in the last 40 years or so. Prior to that, something like No-S was the norm and no one gave it any thought. Our food culture has become a culture of dietary sloth.

I agree with both of you. The rules are simple. Consistent implementation of the rules is tough...largely due to the current food culture. So maybe No S is a grass roots effort to change the existing culture?!
