Integrating No S and IF
This is a project I have been thinking about and working on periodically for awhile. It is a food log for tracking and controlling food consumption consistent with No S while practicing IF. I love IF, but unfortunately I tend to consume way too much of the wrong kinds of foods, especially when my training tempo is high and I am unable to eat until very late in the evening. This provides a framework for keeping consumption reasonable and consistent with the No S way of life.

Feel free to take it and modify (or completely re-create) it however you deem most useful. I'd be glad to know it helped someone else adopt the No S way of eating.reinhard wrote:This does look nice.
I could imagine even a simpler, vanilla No-S version might be helpful for some people, at least to help them get their habit-legs.

Is there something about IF that deems that one has only three starch servings a day, but many more proteins? I thought IF was basically short-term fasting, such as 24-36 hours.

Nothing at all. I was basing the portions (with some flexibility for different goals) on the plate divisions many No-Sers like to use. 1/2 plate of veggies = 2 servings; 1/4 plate of protein = 1 serving; 1/4 plate of starch = 1 serving. So theoretically you have 3 servings of starch, 3 of protein, and 6 of veggies, but some prefer to reduce starchy carbs and go heavier on the protein and/or veggies.
Oh, I just noticed the 2-9 servings of protein. It's true that a person could adjust those to his/her own bias.
Sometimes my 1/4 plate size can hold more than one serving...and that's okay for now. But I appreciate the concept. I do the same thing, loosely, and I've used the palm/fist approximation for years.
