Coffee with cream between meals okay? Or is that a snack?
I'm in my second week of NoS and I'm totally loving it, but being that it's summer, I've been drinking home-made iced coffees with Ez Sweetz and half and half. I use about one oz of cream in each mug and I drink about 3 throughout the day. It is totally refreshing and I just can't picture myself just drinking one with each meal.
I have ordered the book but it hasn't arrived yet. Am I deluding myself in this grey area or is this okay? It's 40 calories per one oz of half and half, so we're talking 120 total calories for the day, but spread out and not in conjunction with mealtimes.
Thanks for your help! I want to get the most out of this plan.

It's perfectly ok. If milk is ok, then certainly coffee with a bit of half and half is ok.
Eventually, if you aren't seeing the weight loss you would like, then I would look at cutting back/out. But don't cut it out until you are ready, even if you think it will give you a nudge. It's not worth the feelings of deprivation.

I agree! Thanks so much for replying. I would know more if I had read the book already. I look forward to its arrival and I'm so thankful to have found this "diet".
Actually, I once tried something that was more spiritually based and it made me feel more in bondage to food than ever! And when I ate past satisfied or didn't wait until my stomach growled to eat a meal, I was trained to view this as sin. I never could last more than a couple of weeks on it, even though my sister found "freedom" with it.
Freedom is the NO S PLAN!!! I'm spreading the word!

According to Reinhard, you may drink fluids between meals as long as they are not sweets. In the book and this site, he provides guidelines as to what is a liquid sweet.

I believe it is not considered as snacks, so you can enjoy itCherylB wrote:I'm in my second week of NoS and I'm totally loving it, but being that it's summer, I've been drinking home-made iced coffees with Ez Sweetz and half and half. I put half-n-half in my coffee and don't sweat it. Ideal? Mebbe not, but we're not talking a mocha frappachino here!

I've been using mocha with stevia steadily for 31 months with satisfactory results. See below.
