WOW!

Post by pickleface » Sat Sep 08, 2012 8:58 pm

I read the book on holiday and thought well I might try this, I've tried everything else!
I got home from holiday and weighed myself for the first time in 3 months and it wasn't much more than the previos weight. I then started following the No S principles, and got laughed at by those around me. But 3 weeks on, and I feel liberated, I don't beat myself up for having treats at weekends, especially at my parents house, and during the week I manage my 3 plates a day. And to top it all I have lost 7 and half pounds in those 3 weeks. :D

Good job for sticking to your guns (and following No S), and good job on the weight loss. :D

Thanks.
I have had one slip up last week, but other than that everything has been good.

I have just committed to going back to No S following another failed WW attempt, my DD for WW failing and realising that this is the only sane way forward and will save us so much money. Money is tight in our house and with downgrading to a phone with keys as its cheaper, I have perfect access to this site and comfort to participate in the forums whenever without having to get to a PC!

Then I read your post. You have inspired me totally but with perfect timing. Thank you.

Welcome and great job.

I haven't told many people that I'm on this plan yet. When I do, they look highly impressed as I say "no snacks, no sweets, no seconds," and then dismissive when I add, "except on days that start with S." It's as if the moderation part puts them off. Amusing, when you think about it.

Yes I've had so many laugh and some ask and does that include the s in the bedroom! However having been good during the week I don't even feel like pigging out at the weekend, I just allow myself a little treat. :D

Are we still talking about the bedroom?

Although I agree bedroom talk has no place on this board, I'll admit that we are all here because of the "bedroom."

I didn't say there shouldn't be any bedroom talk, as long as it's done with "taste." And this crowd is definitely tasteful.
