What is 'Vanilla No S'
I see it referenced a lot and just wasn't sure exactly what Vanilla No S was. Thanks for the help!
Vanilla No-S is: No snacks, no sweets, no seconds, except sometimes on days that start with S. In other words, the plan as written without modifications.
"That which we persist in doing becomes easier for us to do. Not that the nature of the thing itself has changed but our power to do it is increased." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
"You are what you eat -- so don't be Fast, Easy, Cheap or Fake."
"You are what you eat -- so don't be Fast, Easy, Cheap or Fake."
This because many people have modified the original plan with success, though most are not successful with modifications until they have established some discipline with the original and have found out that they truly need a mod and aren't just having withdrawal and denial.
Most long-termers will stress using Vanilla for several months before attempting to modify. Some never modify. And many who have modified return and surrender to its wisdom.

Thanks!
Thank you! That makes perfect sense. I'm glad. I thought it was a mod for the S days. I'm only two weeks in and feel like my S days are out of control. But, lord knows everyday was out of control before No S.
My S days were wild for a LONG time. But as you, I figured 2x a week was better than the 7x it was before No S. Glad I stuck it out.

Totally agree, my sdays only calmed down slightly after 7 weeks into this. I am so glad I stuck through because I am feeling like I see a difference finally. My body knows it will get food and I feel a bit slimmer too. I probably gained initially but I think as I see how sane this is, it gets better. Now I kinda don't want snacks or sweets. Cool.
