I had almost given up on losing weight and was convinced I was destined to be overweight for the rest of my life and was ok with it. However, now I have lost 45 pounds and it was so easy. This is the way I was meant to eat and I don't even think about it anymore.

Good work!

I liked Reinhard's recent post describing NoS:
I don't view it (NoS) as a "diet," but as a stand-in for cultural structures which no longer exist in a meaningful way.

Like you, I find meals with NoS structures to be sane, sound, and satisfying. Random eating, overeating, mindless eating are insane, harmful, and dissatisfying. Losing weight is the bonus!

Congratulations on regaining sane eating habits AND losing the weight!

What a great testimonial! Do you know what your BMI is now? Not that it's the be-all and end-all, but it can help put things in perspective for readers. Age, too.

Best of all, it sounds like it's become natural.

I don't know my BMI before or after but I can tell you I am 52 and before the weight loss I was in a very tight 16--now I am wearing a loose 10 and lately buy size 8.

Until you said you were 52 I wondered if you were me. I had just about given up on losing weight and accepted being overweight all my life before I came upon No S, too.
