Dear Diet, It's not me. . .

Post by la_loser » Fri Jul 12, 2013 2:32 pm

I got this in the form of a cartoon this morning and given the diet-head mentality we're all trying to get over, I must say, I did chuckle out loud when I saw it. Hope it will bring a smile to your faces as well!

"Dear Diet,
It's not me, it's you. I just don't think it's going to work between us. You're boring, tasteless, and I can't stop cheating on you."

Sounds like she hasn't found NO S!

Since you've started a humorous thread...

this little joke appeared in my inbox a couple of days ago:
The Truth About Nutrition and Diet.

Here is the final word on nutrition and diet. It's a
relief to know the truth after all those conflicting medical
studies.

The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart
attacks than do the British or Americans.

The French eat a lot of fat and also suffer fewer heart
attacks than the British or Americans.

The Japanese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer
heart attacks than the British or Americans.

The Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and also
suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or Americans.

The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausages and
fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or
Americans.

CONCLUSION

Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently
what kills you.

And I'll bet that drawl of mine must just exacerbate the problem. Now at least I have a cause! Thanks, Vicki, for the laugh!

Too bad we don't catch a break for having a sense of humor!

I saw another...

"I stay chunky because it would not be fair to all of the thin people if I were this good looking, intelligent funny AND thin. It's a public service really."
