Buy the No S Book, get pdf version free!

Post by reinhard » Fri Nov 22, 2013 4:03 pm

Hi All,

Little marketing experiment I just thought of: As an additional incentive to plunk down for a print (or kindle) No-s book, if you email me the receipt, I'll send you a complimentary PDF version as well.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... aysyste-20

Curious if this results in any additional sales!

Reinhard

Also, the offer is retroactive. Wouldn't want to penalize folks who were kind enough to buy before I got this inspiration!

(If it becomes overwhelming, maybe I'll reconsider -- but that'll be rather nice problem to have!)

Ok this maybe a stupid question...but I have to ask...I bought the kindle edition. Why would I need a pdf version? I can see if I bought a papercopy... Just asking in case i need to find my receipt! :)

Well "need" is a strong word, but there are circumstances under which it might be convenient to have the pdf in addition to kindle (tools/platforms that read pdfs but not kindle or other ebook formats). But you're right, there's not much need -- mostly I just didn't want ebook purchasers to feel left out (I actually get a slightly higher cut from ebooks than from print books).

I still can't find the no s ebook in the UK. There is a kindle edition but I have an ereader so a PDF version would be great. However, I haven't bought the real book as I really want an ebook. Bit of a conundrum!

idon'tknow, I humbly suggest you buy the paper version, get the PDF version for free, and give the paper version away when people ask you why enjoy your food so much and look so good.

Oolala's suggestion is actually a good one... I'm on my THIRD copy of No-S, because the others got given away.

Right now, I have an extra copy on a shelf at the ready. It's been awhile since anyone has seemed ready for that step, but I like having one in reserve.

Just email me the email amazon sent you. Or a screenshot of a portion of it if you prefer.

I'm really not that picky about documentation. Whatever you have (even just a sad story, if you lost your receipt) will be fine.

Alice,
Even if you don't have the email from Amazon, log-on to your Amazon account and you can search through your purchase history, have to narrow it to the correct year and ALL your Amazon purchases forever will show up. (Yeah, kinda crazy to take a look down memory lane to see all the stuff you've bought show up!) Anyway, that's how I found mine--took a screen shot and sent it to Reinhard.
