I've been doing this for 17 years, but always thought it was just my own "thing"....

It's not exactly the same thing; I limit fat and overall calories (although I don't actually count them) as well, but I do this Sunday through Friday evening and eat what I want from Friday evening to midnight Saturday. I can testify that it works - if I stay disciplined during the week. It also helps not to eat dinner too late - by 6:30 is best.

Good luck to all the "newbies"!

Welcome, Terryval!

I hear this a lot -- and I take it as a great compliment. No-s is obvious, and what many people have done (more or less) without realizing it.

The value of the name and the cute formula is largely just a way to grab people's attention and remind them of this obviousness. It's funny how elusive the obvious can be when you've been distracted by flashy complexities for so long -- and how refreshing when you finally come back to it.

Looking forward to hearing more from a seasoned independent discoverer,

Reinhard

terryval, I can't say I've BEEN doing this (I wish!) for many years now, but as a child and young adult, that's how everyone ate and so did I. Mom served 3 wholesome meals and chased us out of the kitchen if we tried to snack much between them, and told us eating right before bedtime would give us nightmares! It was just the way people lived. And the country (and world) wasn't fat. We also played outside a lot and walked everywhere.

Then, I gained a few pounds as a young adult, and began the dreaded rollercoaster of diets and wild and crazy exercise, and 5# lost and then 10# gained,............etc.

This is like getting back to our roots, in a way. I love it.
