land of plenty

Post by skiqueen » Wed Feb 19, 2014 6:46 am

I pack six meals in one bag when I work two 12 hour shifts so I have enough for the two days and dont have to pack lunch again. Seeing all that food at once makes me realize three plates a day is plenty. Excessfood clouds the judgement of what is enough, silly to think I worry about being hungry, really seeing a days worth of grub at once puts it into perspective

That's a really interesting observation.

There's a book called Material World which photographically the sum total of possessions of families around the world. The American family had by far the most stuff. It was excessive when compared to the other families.

I seem to recall mention of a similar book about food, comparing a day's worth of food. That would be an interesting photo too.
