Take a sledgehammer and wrap an old sweater around it. This is your "shovelglove." Every week day morning, set a timer for 14 minutes. Use the shovelglove to perform shoveling, butter churning, and wood chopping motions until the timer goes off. Stop. Rest on weekends and holidays. Baffled? Intrigued? Charmed? Discuss here.

That's actually a pretty good concept, imo. I tend to stay in the same spot and sometimes it's tough to stay 100% focused on the "shoveling" aspect. I can see where even just a little bit of movement in a different direction would add to the idea.

Great idea, really.

In a some cardio kickboxing routines(bas ruttens, comes to mind), a LOT of emphasis is put on moving around inbetween punch/kick combinations. I know there is a HUGE difference when I move my feet between combo's and when I just stay stationary. The former is quite a bit more demanding.

Good idea.
