shovelglove in eclipse

Take a sledgehammer and wrap an old sweater around it. This is your "shovelglove." Every week day morning, set a timer for 14 minutes. Use the shovelglove to perform shoveling, butter churning, and wood chopping motions until the timer goes off. Stop. Rest on weekends and holidays. Baffled? Intrigued? Charmed? Discuss here.

shovelglove in eclipse

Post by chiangmaiboss » Wed Jul 22, 2009 2:31 am

This morning I watched solar eclipse in front of my house from 7am-930am. Many people also were out watching it through x-ray film. While waiting for it I decided to do shovelglove. I did 14 minutes hardbar-butterchurn and what I call figure 8s. People wondered why I was doing this during eclipse, which they are very superstitious about like with most everything. Because I am part native American, some people here think I am like what they call a mah phi which is like a medicine man or sorcerer. Word spread around village I was doing this during eclipse to give magic powers to hammer.
