and now for something... differnt

Take a sledgehammer and wrap an old sweater around it. This is your "shovelglove." Every week day morning, set a timer for 14 minutes. Use the shovelglove to perform shoveling, butter churning, and wood chopping motions until the timer goes off. Stop. Rest on weekends and holidays. Baffled? Intrigued? Charmed? Discuss here.

this looks pretty appealing. could be cool to do this in addition to shovelglove. who knows, you might end up developing anal-abs.

The combination of shivelglove+hindu squats+hindo pushups has been discussed here a few times...it seems to cover just about everything.

PS: Here's a video I uploaded to youtube a while ago, it shows the "Hindu" moves along the river Ganges...

This is also Matt Furey's "royal court" workout. He charges something like $150 bucks for crappy videos of himself demonstrating these moves in his basement and getting all winded while he tries to talk through it.

They're good exercises that I've used off/on over the years, but mostly I do them for stretching purposes (well, not the squats) these days.

I totally recommend including other kinds of workout techniques and philosophies, but I have a reputation for being less than "purist" with my shovelglove. ;)
1 Picture = 1,000 words
0:01s Video = 30 pictures
therefore, 0:01s Video = 30,000 words

But Matt's book was only 40 bucks...

LOL. I do like having a series of creative bodyweight exercises available for variety, though.

I like it better when you can get ideas online for free!
