Perfect Shovelglove song?

Take a sledgehammer and wrap an old sweater around it. This is your "shovelglove." Every week day morning, set a timer for 14 minutes. Use the shovelglove to perform shoveling, butter churning, and wood chopping motions until the timer goes off. Stop. Rest on weekends and holidays. Baffled? Intrigued? Charmed? Discuss here.

Love the DEVO song.

But I don't know why I need to watch somebody play Runescape while I listen to it. :?

1 Picture = 1,000 words
0:01s Video = 30 pictures
therefore, 0:01s Video = 30,000 words

I've been using prison work songs to shovelglove to. I downloaded 14 minutes worth from this album:

It's pretty fun.

The one I've really cottoned to is from Metric's newer album, "Help I'm Alive" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtA7YIFapnY

It's seriously awesome (I mean, it is Metric), but it also has this terrific refrain about "beating like a hammer" with this driving beat. Perfect for shugging!
Shovel glove? Isn't that the size of prophylactic I use?

I dunno who gets the better workout... the guys on bagpipes, or me with my hammer heh.
It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never all dried at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloaming, on seas and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls.

I do more of a sledgehammer workout than a shovelglove per se. During the summer, however, I do more controlled movements and shoveling type movements indoors on Wednesday. Monday and Friday are kettlebells and Tuesday and Thursdays are resistance stuff. Though I may mix that up some and move the sledgehammer stuff to Friday and resistance work from Thursday so there's one day in there I can either bike or something.

When the weather allows, I sledgehammer/shoveelglove in the garage so I can beat on a semi tire I found at a truck stop. I kind of refer to it as my "paladin workout." (Yeah, I'm adding to the nerd factor here.)

In that vein, I love to use stuff like:

Two Steps from Hell: Invincible (the title of a piece and their first public CD.. these guys do a lot of music for movie trailers)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjZACyYKGJ8

The God of War soundtrack

Pirates of the Caribbean remix

Gladiator soundtrack - Gladiator Waltz (both regular and extended version from "More Music from Gladiator")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KBHr_1iXN8 especially the part around 7:30. I usually use this at the end so I can go all out at that point... even been known to emit a battle roar as I wail on the tire.
