Tall shugger

Take a sledgehammer and wrap an old sweater around it. This is your "shovelglove." Every week day morning, set a timer for 14 minutes. Use the shovelglove to perform shoveling, butter churning, and wood chopping motions until the timer goes off. Stop. Rest on weekends and holidays. Baffled? Intrigued? Charmed? Discuss here.

Tall shugger

Post by dockanz » Sat Jul 23, 2011 1:37 am

Hi all, I am a tall guy, 6'4". Though my house has 9 foot ceilings, am I in danger of sticking a hammer throughh my ceiling on some of my movements? For example, with butter churning, I can imagine some potential problems. How have other tall shuggers handled this?

Hi,
I'm 6'3" with 8'6" ceilings and don't have any problems. I hit the ceiling once when doing the triceps extension/scratch back exercise but only because I held the hammer just beneath the head.

With the butter churn I turn the hammer so the head is down and imagine I'm compacting the soil around a fence post. I also add a 1/2 squat into the movement.
