New to Shovelglove - speed of movements?

Take a sledgehammer and wrap an old sweater around it. This is your "shovelglove." Every week day morning, set a timer for 14 minutes. Use the shovelglove to perform shoveling, butter churning, and wood chopping motions until the timer goes off. Stop. Rest on weekends and holidays. Baffled? Intrigued? Charmed? Discuss here.

New to Shovelglove - speed of movements?

Post by gyoshoshinshi » Mon Feb 11, 2013 5:07 pm

Inspired by Reinhard's No S Diet and also by his desire to exercise standing up like a human being, not grovelling on the floor, I bought a 6 lb sledgehammer on Saturday and began Shovelgloving.

I love it! I was sweating in 5 minutes! It felt great!

My question has to do with the speed of the movements - I finished 1 circuit of the basics in 7 minutes or so, then did another circuit. But am I going to fast?

I'm glad you like it.

As long as you aren't swinging wildly or out of control you aren't going too fast. I find the faster I swing the more I benefit.
