Winter and inclement Weather Rangering

Reinhard,
Just wondering what sort of clothing do you wear for rainy or wintery Urban Rangering? I have a 1.5 mi. commute to work and I walk it most days. Rainy days tend to be the most annoying because I usually wear a rain suit, or I sometimes need to remember to pack it if it looks like it may rain later in the day. I also keep a change of shoes at work. What works for you? Thanks.
Ray

I don't have any special gear, just an umbrella and a water resistant windbreaker (and a certain indifference to getting wet).

Keeping a dry set of cloths/shoes at work is a good idea... but I can't say I do it.

I keep ALL my work clothes at work (I wear a suit everyday) and wear layers of comfortable clothing to walk.

That plus Gore-Tex (which is very expensive but totally worth it--and it has a lifetime guarantee) jacket AND pants.
