Sunscreen 101 for dummies!

Post by gratefuldeb67 » Tue Jun 13, 2006 1:56 pm

Well I went on my first big weekend excursion of the Summer this last Sunday...
It was a breezy gorgeous day and only in the low seventies..
I waited way too long to put on sunscreen, and got really badly burned, especially on my hands..
(One of the reasons I haven't been on much yesterday, as my fingers got totally swollen and blistered and really are in pain!!!!)
I spent a whole sleepless night in complete agony that evening...
So, please learn from my mistake, all Urban Rangers, Bikers and beach goers...
Especially if it's the first time in the sun, which it was for me...

Put on Sunscreen or you will regret it like I did!!!!!!!!!!
I found a fantastic one which I recommend highly..
Neutrogena Sensitive Skin #30 strength..
It has absolutely no nasty smell or fragrance at all, and really doesn't feel bad on the skin..
I've had problems with sunscreens in the past which were very irritating and nasty.. This one is perfect!

Anyway..Live and learn!
Seeyalls later :)
Peace and Love,
8) Deb

Ouch. Sorry to hear it, Deb.

I think I'm sufficiently paranoid in this department to consider myself safe, but thanks for the tip.

Hope you're healing up ok,

Reinhard

Thanks so much Reinhard :)
I'm am much better, and have caught up on the sleep I lost..
Boy... 50,000 nerves per square inch never felt so noticeable!!!
I'm sure it'll be all healed within a few more days... :)
Glad you are paranoid about this... I seem to be "good judgement deficient" at times...
Kinda like Icarus...
Have a nice day!
Peace and Love,
