I used Diet Power to keep track of all I ate. And I did a lot of treadmill. I would get on it and do it for 2 hours! I was burning 1100 calories at a time. During this I was doing some free weights and so far so good! As far as the treadmill I was doing 10% incline and fairly low speed. Now I will get on and do 3.5 mph at 10% incline for 80 minutes or so from time to time, but have switched to a little 30 minute daily routine.
Basically I was eating strange stuff that I liked. Like green beans and walnuts. And keeping some good supplements and vitamins going. Hey it was weird, but it worked. I lost 40 lbs in 15 weeks at my max.
Been kinda going slower lately and still eating weird things I like. Right now my diet consist of plain uncooked oats. I mix this with raisins, dried apricots and almonds with just a sprinkle of Stevia natural sweetener for extra sweet goodness. It is like a super natural trail mix. I also drink a few Probolic-SR Protein MHP Chocolate shakes. This all adds up to 155% nutrition quotient on Diet Power and gives me about 2200 calories per day. (The only part about what I eat I don't like is the sucrose in the MHP. I'd rather it be unsweetened so I could add something more natural, but the nutrition on the MHP is pretty amazing.)
Since I pretty much eat the same thing every day it is easy to keep up. Like I said it is weird, but works for me. I went from a 44 pant to a 34!!
I do every once in a while have a special day and eat a bit of the old stuff!! Like a Sonic burger or eat out at a restaurant, but 98% of the time I eat what I am supposed to!
I did all of it at home. Went from over 290 at my max to about 198 right now. The weights and 10% incline on the treadmill have gave me a pretty good build now. I probably have about 10 or 15 pounds of fat left I am slowly converting to muscle and am hoping the ShovelGlove with help that along! I bought a 12 pounder this afternoon!!
How is that for a crazy habit!! I'm in better shape at 38 than when I was 15. I had always been a "big boned" kid!!
Come to find out I WAS just fat after all!!
I don't think of what I'm doing as a diet any more. It's just what I do now, so I hope to keep it up indefinitely.
