HabitCal Timeline View

Post by reinhard » Mon Dec 29, 2008 7:36 pm

I just added this...

Image

As I wrote in my just beefed up habitcal documentation:
This is another way to get a concise overview of a large period of time. Every day shows up as a pixel, so unlike stats view it's "non-lossy."
Not quite a big enough deal to qualify as a "release," but I hope someone will find it useful.

Wow!

Timeline is exactly what I need to get a handle on some other issues I'm tracking in addition to No-S and Shovelglove (which I'm doing ok with). And it's giving me a sense that I am improving my record, albeit very slowly, but slow improvement is infinitely better than none at all (or heaven forbid, regression).

All you HabitCal-ers, definitely give this a try.

Thank you, Reinhard! Timeline is so cool that, for me -- it's a Release!

I'm glad you like it, Winnie!

It does show long term progress (or regress) better than any other view.

I like the look A LOT!!

... but my old eyes would really prefer a two-pixel view, or a zoom of some kind. (Sorry to criticize a good thing - it's just that once you're over 40-45, the vision thing becomes an issue. Sigh.)
