Hello everybody, I stumbled upon the No S diet some time ago. I followed it for a while and loved it. I lost weight too. Unfortunately, I could not stick to it for a long time. So this is my second attempt and I am hoping I could get some help from others who tried and succeeded. Any tips from you all are most welcome!! Starting tomorrow... Fingers crossed

Welcome!

My number one tip: keep posting. For me it makes all the difference between going off for weeks/months/or only a small number of meals. And the support here is incredible!

I agree that posting, especially at the beginning is important. I also find habit cal useful. Good luck!

My number one tip is to think of sweets, snacks and seconds as "not an option" on N days. Don't even entertain the idea. You can wait for an S day and you'll enjoy them so much more than.

I must agree with keep posting.

If you want to post what you eat, that helps as well. At least in my case, it keeps me honest if I KNOW I am going to have to post every single thing I eat. Although nobody on here ever judges anybody else's choices - I would rather honestly be able to say I ate a big salad than a big cheeseburger and fries

And welcome.

Stay the course, you cannot go wrong if you are doing right. Do not let plateaus (if you are watching your weight numbers) deter you. I once stayed at the same 147 for about two weeks although I KNEW I was doing everything right. Our body is very stubborn when letting go of it's cushion - especially women's bodies as they were designed to have a little extra weight in the event of a famine and the woman was pregnant or nursing a child. Luckily, no famines in sight.

I finally broke the 147 barrier, lost about four more pounds immediately and have had to add food now and then to maintain as it is very easy to lose weight if one really cuts out the 3 S's . Especially snacks in my case as sweets were always for special occasions and I rarely eat seconds. I got down to 132 - way too low for me- but learned how to adjust my intake of "good" foods.

Don't quit.
