01-24-09 SAT - S Day - 184.6 - Day 2
Did well on my first "S" day.
Shared a low calorie piece of cheese cake with the family.
Snacked on a couple of peanuts.
Didn't really feel the desire to snack, which is a big deal for me.
I carry the "No S Diet" book around me, it serves as a constant reminder of my goal and a quick reference for situations that come up.

01-26-09 MON - Success - 184.6 - Day 4
Gained a little weight (.6), after my first "S" weekend.
Not worried, still getting the hang of the diet, as well as my body.
I'll see what I weigh in at tomorrow morning.
Did very well today.
3 meals, no snacks, no seconds, no sweets, drank water and had 1 FUZE 10 cal, 1 gram sugar drink with breakfast.

01-28-09 WED - Success - 183.8 - Day 6
Did well with all of my eating, no cheating today. I'm finding it rather easy to stay away from snacks which have been my biggest problem for years. Eating just to eat. I realized I grabbed that pop corn yesterday and began eating it without realizing what I was doing. but no worries, I will get past it. Trying to create a positive habit here.

01-29-09 THU - S Day - 186.4 - Day 7
What the “Fâ€.
I’m not sure what caused me to weigh in at 186.4. I could see a pound, maybe, since yesterday, but three? It just doesn’t make since. Yesterday was a successful day, No Snacks, No Sweets, and No Seconds. My meals were one plate with a reasonable amount of food on them, I didn’t overfill. I was hungry when it was time to eat, and yet somehow I put on three pounds. I just don’t get it. I refuse to believe it was the couple of handfuls of popcorn the other day that did me in. I had a successful week and did not go crazy on my first set of “S†days.
Well, I’m not giving up; I’m going to give this diet one more week. I’m going to track what I eat for a week also, just to keep myself in check. I was going to start using the treadmill along with the diet today but I’m going to hold off for another week, follow the diet strictly, and see if it holds up on its own. I will continue walking with a goal of 10,000 steps a day, but if I’m not down by next Thursday, I’m out.
Now all I have to do is get this black cloud from over my head, and focus on my goal.
Today is an S Day, I went to dinner with a close friend. I did well, had a scoop of ice cream with my plate.

02-02-09 MON - Success - 185.6 - Day 11
Had a big weekend and went a little crazy, but not too bad.
Saturday night I went to a Super Bowl party hosted by Kevin Costner, what a blast!
Sunday was the Super Bowl, oh, well, I did enjoy myself.
I'm back on today.

02-03-09 TUE - Success - 184.4 - Day 12
Went down a bit from yesterday and the weekend, hoping for a decent weigh-in tomorrow.
I think I'll go ahead and hit the treadmill 1/2 hour a day.

02-04-09 WED - Success - 183.6 - Day 13
I was happy to see this mornings weigh in.
I still find myself fighting temptation, it is not a natural act to walk away from tempting foods, I still have to pull myself away by running in the opposite direction. I can't wait until my bad habits form into good habits. One day at a time.

02-06-09 FRI - Success - 183.2 - Day 15
My weight stayed the same since yesterday, I'm begining to feel the results of this program. Temptations are begining to be easier to ignore. I am ready for another "S" day weekend.

02-07-09 SAT - S-Day - 183.4 - Day 16
02-08-09 SUN - S-Day - 181.0 - Day 17
This is lowest I've weighed in many years.
I'm very excited.
Hopefully tomorrow I will meet my first short term goal of 180.
I will really have to behave myself, tomorrow will be my third "S" day in a row because of my wife's birthday. I will probably take it light at breakfast and lunch and enjoy a nice steak dinner with some dessert.

02-09-09 MON - S-Day - 180.6 - Day 18
Almost there! Just .6 away from my first short term goal.
I am preparing myself for tomorrows weigh in since this was my third S-Day in a row.
I believe I did pretty well, today was probably the worst of all the S-Days, I had an appetizer with dinner and dessert. Other than that it was one plate in the morning and one in the afternoon.
Even if I don't hit it tomorrow, I know I am close, I soon I will have my first goal achieved.

02-11-09 WED - SUCCESS - 182.2 - Day 20
02-12-09 THU - SUCCESS - 181.0 - Day 21
This is my third week and I continue to learn new things about myself, both good and bad. I am finding old bad habits are being replaced by new good habits. I am also finding small unnoticed habits showing their ugly faces and I have begun to work on them. I have not lost a lot of weight at this point but I have lost and maintained and that is the important thing.
I continue to walk 10,000 steps a day, I found out that 10,000 steps pretty much equals the following:
2 hours of walking a day.
5.5 miles of walking a day.

Hi John,
On my "log" (Anita's), I just posted an entire month of weigh-ins. Since you are also weighing in daily, I thought you might find it interesting. Each week, my weight zips up and down like crazy - - but on Saturday mornings, it seems to reach a new low each week. And my highs (Monday mornings) have basically gotten lower each week.
But the swings are wild! You wouldn't know I was losing weight necessarily on any given day, but I know that I am - - from both the tracking and from how my clothes are fitting.
So I just wanted to encourage you with what you are doing. I can tell you are definitely going down the right track!! We don't have tons to lose, but I'm confident this can work for us . . .
Anita
