Good days bad days.
Monday and Tuesday- Successes. Tempted to comfort with food, but resisted.
A close family member was killed in Iraq on Sunday- he was a US Marine.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. Death of a friend is always awful but when it is the death of someone in the prime of their life and a also a death by violence, it is so much harder to bear.

Thank you 'Sue & Deb for your kind words.

We're all sad- he was such a great young person. Right now, there's still that flicker of hope that it was a mistake... not quite real. The funeral will bring closure if nothing else.

Thanks again.

I'm very, very sorry, Chippie&co. It's silly stuff we're all talking about here compared to this. Best wishes for you and your family getting through this,

Reinhard

Thanks, Reinhard.

You're a 'MA chap' and so its a little closer to home this time, right?

There's a time for everything under the sun...... and the sillies, well, they lighten the load.

Well, post funeral and post vacation, and I am in no mood to No-s. that's the truth.

I just read Richard's posts, and boy! what an encouragement. (Great spelling too for a 4th grader :D ).

Have to get going again- want to start doing the urban ranger thing. Pushing about 60lbs should make it good exercise. Our weeping cherry tree is blooming, and the flowers are coming out. Yes, there ARE many things to be excited about!

Moving on

The ranger thing may be just what the doctor ordered. Fresh air, exercise and focusing on something else might be the beginning of the healing. If you are feeling better you will be more able to help your friend through this horrible time.
Aren't weeping cherries wonderful. Our weeping crab apple is ready to blume too.
Keep on, Chippie and co. We are all with you.
