Ravelry vs Facebook

Post by kccc » Fri Jul 08, 2011 2:08 pm

Since I know there are knitter/geeks on this board...

I just saw this on Slate, comparing Ravelry and Facebook. The analysis is interesting, but one thing they miss (IMHO) is the elegant way the discussion boards function.

I love Ravelry. I'm not very active, but I really enjoy looking around and getting ideas.

Ravelry is brilliant! I'm in awe of the way it functions, both as a tool for research, and as a place to socialize.

I love Ravelry....I also joined when it was fairly new, right after I learned to knit.
