90 days of No S, Urban Ranger, Shovelglove?

Post by oolala53 » Fri Apr 22, 2011 8:50 pm

Updating this on Juyl 6 after mostly a bust of the attempt. I have ahd few failures on No S, but almost totally failures on exercise. I'm going to finish this out through July 13 and start a new thread on July 14 (Bastille Day!). Anyone is welcome to start anytime, either here and transfer with me or wait until then.

Who is with me for RE (reinhard engels) 90X!

Since I still haven't incorporated regular exercise into my program, I keep watching infomercials on fitness programs and have almost bought a couple, thinking one of them will motivate me, despite the fact that I have a ton of fitness tapes in my library. One of my incentives is that I would like to show what can happen with consistency of moderate habits. I might not look like the some of the examples that Tony Horton or Shaun T have, but let's just see! Also, I am going for the third time to an African Dance camp the third week of July, and I'd like to be in better shape so that I don't come limping home.

It occurred to me while watching one of the famous ones (that Reinhard hasn't even heard of) that I should just use the "system" here at Everyday Systems, or whatever modification I want. I also know it might seem a little too severe given the theory of not wanting to have to use too much willpower, but I'd bet there are some like me who have experience with No S, but not in putting it all together. So, this might be more for intermediate users, rather than beginners. Please don't regard this as a throwing down the gauntlet. I've had 15 months of 80% compliance and I'm just looking for something to boost me to a higher compliance and my goal of another 15 pounds off. I don't recommend that people think it's necessary to start No S using this, although I do think giving No S alone 90 days rather than 21 is a better commitment to make.

RE90X Components: For 90 days
Vanilla No S
14 minutes of ANY resistance exercise M-F
14+ minutes of walking or ANY cardio M-F
(You can do more cardio, but I thought I'd just go with the 14-minute idea as a foundation for anyone who is starting from zero. You can always add more, just as you can put less on your plate as you go.)

I suggest we each use the same post each day to update, but not in a long list, just adding on horizontally.

In the spirit of starting right away rather than waiting until Monday, I declare my 90 days to be today, Apr. 22 through July 13.

4/22 success 4/23 success 4/24 success 4/25 success 4/27 success
4/28 Success 4/29 success 4/30 S day 5/1 S day 5/2 success 5/3 Success 5/4 Success 5/5 failure of exercise same for 5/6 5/7 and 5/8 both auto successes, but I did walk a couple of hours on Sunday and went to West African dance Saturday evening.

May 9-13. All N days green No S. Two (or three?) failures of exercise. Lots of walking on the weekend. Obviously failing on record keeping!
May 14, 15. Weekend
May 16, success halfway through the month. May 17, No S success other failure May 18, No s and walking, no resistance

I had No S failure on Tuesday, may 31. The 30th was an NWS. I've had all green N days in June. I have not been exercising.
Updated June 16. This continues to be true, though I' did get a walk in this evening and a few days. I did a lot of traveling with long hours in the car last week. No problem with N days or S days.

What's RE90X?

I don't think that's an unreasonable plan for anyone, especially if you've been No Sing your food for a while! I will be down with this for May.

I'm interested in maybe doing something along those lines! I can't exercise on Mondays, because Mondays are CRAZY for me, but I could very easily commit to Tue-Fri and possibly one weekend day, depending on what I do that weekend. I can't do straight Vanilla No S right now because I'm pregnant and eating 3 meals is not doable for me right now, but I definitely want to work on making my eating habits more moderate over the next few months, with my goal being that I don't gain too much more weight before my baby is born (I'm due in August).
So anyway, I think I would like to join you, but I'll need to figure out a modified version of this plan that will work for me.

Of course! Those were just the guidelines. Everyone can design his/her own version of RE. The more moderate, the better!

I'm in, then! :D

April 28: So far, I'm not doing too badly. I'm in a weird place with eating, because of my pregnancy. Lately, my appetite has been dowright insatiable, and I've managed to maintain my weight (which is good, since I gained too much at the beginning of this pregnancy). For now, I'm tracking my calories to see how much I need to eat to maintain this weight (for the time being) and then to slowly gain weight the rest of the pregnancy (I'm about 23 weeks). My goal for now is to replace some of the junk I've been eating with more healthy choices. I haven't been doing too badly with eating healthy foods (I'm getting at least 4 servings of fruits and veggies a day, and I'm eating a good amount of lean proteim, etc..), but I could definitely use some improvement. My exercising has been great! My energy level has finally picked up, so I should be able to easily exercise at least 5 X a week. So far, I've exercised Tue, Wed, and Thu, and I definitely plan on doing a workout tomorrow. I exercise to dvds, since that works better with my schedule, and since the weather where I live (Pacific NW) has been pretty crummy for the past several months.
May 2: So far, I haven't been doing too badly. I'm continuing to do great on the exercising! The eating is going a little better. I'm tired of tracking my calories, so I'm going to see if I can shift to a more Vanilla No S approach (I've never been able to do this in the past, but I want to try). My only mod is I'd probably need at least 4 meals instead of 3. I'm hoping that by doing Vanilla No S (or at least coming close), that my weight gain will slow down enough to keep my and my OB happy.
May 3 Eating-failure Exercise-Success!
May 4 Eating-failure Exercise-Success! Here's hoping tomorrow is a double green day! :D
May 16 My eating has been going pretty well. I'm not doing Vanilla No S right now, because I'm 25 weeks pregnant, and I'm finding that I really do need smaller, more frequent meals to feel my best. I'm still tracking calories for now, only because my OB gave me a very specific amount of weight she wants me to gain for the rest of my pregnancy, and counting calories seems to be helping me to stay within my weight goal. However, after my baby is born, I'd love to shift back to more of a No S way of eating. Exercising is going well. I've managed to stay pretty consistent with it, even on days when I'm tired. I did have to miss a few days because I was sick with bronchitis, but that's it. :D

Count me in too. Starting today- 29 April - through to 31 July.

Vanilla NoS, but with the overall goal of being sugar free.
15 mins of shugging or floor exercises Monday to Friday.

I'll think about cardio - I can't commit to the urban ranger thingy as I'm pretty flat chat between work and parenting (single parent) and find it hard to carve out time when I can leave the house alone or leave work to take a walk. But we'll see how I go....

I'm in. I feel a little scared, but think that might be a good thing. I know I can do it, though. I just need to be less lazy.

I'll officially do May 1 (conveniently a Sunday so that I can see and start on May 2, but still get the full month) - July 31. A hair more than 90 days, but its cleaner for me to look at it with full months. And that means I'm getting up right now to do my resistance for the day.

May 11 EDIT -- I've done a mediocre job of this the last two weeks. Not awful, but not great. I've decided to give myself a re-do. I'd really like to see results after a solid 90 days of vanilla No-S with 14 walking/cardio and 14 resistance 5 days a week. I only get this one re-do, but I think one is worth it. And I'm starting today even though I havent done my exercise yet and could so easily say starting tomorrow. But that's not the spirit of this second try.

So, my official 90 days are May 11-August 8.

This is a very good idea! I used to refer to it as the Everyday Systems Trifecta, but RE90X is funnier.

Count me in! I'm ready to recommit as I've lapsed for a month and a bit and gained a little weight back. My Plan:
Vanilla no s
M W F 14 minutes of resistance
Urban rangering daily for at least 14 mins, more if I can

Starting today, May 2nd, to July 30th (90 Days)

05/02 success, 05/03 success, 05/04 success-
Update June 14: See habitcal, had a bit of a rocky start due to moving, but back on track now!

I've been surprised by how this is motivating me. I had a couple of nights on which I waited until rather late to exercise and almost went to bed. Then I thought of already messing up on my streak so I just set the timer and went at it!

Ha! I failed with 14 mintues of resistance both Thurs and Fri. I just can't wait very long into the evening and as of now it is just not working out in the morning. I already get up pretty early.

However, I've decided to just keep the same dates and not start over. I did a lot of walking on the weekend, and although it's better to stick with consistent days, I did get plenty of movement. A few failures in 90 days is acceptable the first time around.

I've been doing GREAT with urban ranger, but haven't worked in the resistance exercise yet (unless you count wrestling my huge comfort bike in and out of the closet where it's stored so I can ride it!). That is my goal for this week -- 14 minutes with my husband's "rubber band" resistance thingies every day.

Didn't have a great week with exercise, but I'm not starting over. I did walk a lot this weekend, so even if I'm not consistent on weekdays, I think this helps justify my keeping to my original 90-day plan. All green N days and pretty good eating this weekend.

okay, team! Check in, at least. You can start over or just keep track so that you can see the ratio for the 90 days at the end.

Lurkers, why not start planning to declare yourself for Memorial Day through Labor Day?

Great idea! I'm in. For me, S days are the easiest times to get out and do something fun for exercise, so I will do five days a week of strength and aerobic exercises, and my two off days will probably be during the week.

I'm thinking about taking kayak lessons this summer ...

I'm here! My exercising was derailed for a couple of weeks because of a sinus infection, but I just resumed my routine this week, and so far, it's going okay. I had a couple of big splurge days last weekend, which derailed my efforts to keep my pregnancy weight gain in check, but I've been eating REALLY carefully the past few days, and my weight is almost down to what it was last weekend.

I still haven't gotten into exercising, but I checked the scale today because I have been having an easy time with eating and was curious. I did weigh less than I have in about a year, I think, but I don't count on it to stay down. However, I'm tired of bouncing up so high after my weekends. I have some social activities planned, which is good for me, because I like eating with others.

Well, I had a horrible week this week with THREE failures, but I've marked it and am moving on!

Here's to an awesome new week!

Three failures in all three areas? I haven't done more than one 30-minute walk this week for exercise. I guess I'm not the best cheerleader for this, even for myself. But, I'm not going to say I'm throwing in the towel yet. I've got a dance camp to get ready for.

I will join in for June, July & August. I have been Nos since the first. I walk daily (more in some days than others) and lift weights at the gym 2x per week. Today I ate Nos, walked for 30 minutes, and spent 45 minutes at the gym.

I had reason to go to AZ and now I am here in Utah. It's been a lot of driving. I've stuck to my eating plan with a little virtual plating, but not much exercise after two 6 1/2 hour days of driving. I finally got in about 50 minutes of walking today.

I've got less than a month left on this round. It turned out not to be a motivation to post this! And I've got dance camp coming up. I need to get into gear if I'm going to get my stamina up and help protect my knees.

Oh, yeah, this thread. ha! I started it!

I went to meet a friend for lunch today and took the stairs to the third floor. I was huffing and puffing! We took an hour's walk after that, so that was good. Now my 14 minutes of resistance work!

I've been pretty good with eating. Terrible with exercise. I'll be going to dance camp on Sunday, not ready at all. It ends the same day as this is supposed to for me.

I want to start another round. Should I start a new thread or just keep going with you here, tobiasmom?

I went on vacation and managed to lose track of tracking. For some reason, I let that just stop me from tracking period. I'm still plodding along, though. Maybe I'll just pick up with this week and keep going from there. Unless you start another thread, in which case I can re-start over there.

Even if we start a new thread, it can be ongoing, so newbies can jump in anytime and keep track on their own. That's the way the 21-day club works now, though it is a sticky.

Since I'm the one who might start the new one, I'd just as soon wait until next Thursday, when my first one will be over, though it was mostly a fizzle. But I'll stick it out. I'll be coming back from vacation Wed, night. Thursday will be a good day to start. I think closer to S days is better! I started No S on a Friday!

My first 90 days is over and I am starting a new one. I danced my @$ off at dance camp, so my fitness over the last few days was a given and my eating was great.

However, today is the beginning for me of my new round. I think that means Oct. 11 is my new end date.

I know I should just keep going with what I have, but I'm going to start over and make October 11 my 90 days end date too.

Did you want to start a new thread or should we just keep going here?

Let's just stay here. Every time we post something, it will bump the thread up and bring more attention to it, so maybe it will attract more participation and it can be an ongoing thing. If it catches, it might become a sticky.

I've had a good day but was busier than I wanted and haven't exercised! Even after three days at camp, I can become a slug so easily. However, the day isn't over.

Great idea, guys! I'm almost tempted to say I'll join you on the 90 days... only thing holding me back is I'm a week or so into my 21 day stint and doing not too badly, but still trying to get over diet head! On second thoughts: Hey, am I just making excuses???

I'm also not great at posting on a regular basis and wouldn't like to let anyone down by not keeping to my word. BUT on the other hand, it would be interesting and indeed a challenge if I could keep going consistently on No S until October (whenever it was) and NOT weigh myself until then/

.... now that might be something worth considering. hmmm...?

Okay - for the record I am 173 lbs today 14th July 2011.

HEY! Thanks oolala ! I'm in! My aim is and always has been to stick to the No S Plan for life.

As you may have noticed by my posts, chopping and changing diet plans is another habit I am trying to break so if I can stick to this for 90 days without thinking about it too much/perhaps not even weighing during this time, absolutely great!!

Because I had to park so far from the day-one rally in my school district, I've already got my walking in and I did do my 14 minutes this morning. I'm not worried about the food part, although I did have to virtual plate lunch because of a change in the principal's schedule. I lolled a bit on the weekend, but found myself thinking many times that I really have no excuse for not getting it all in and very good excuses to stick to the plan.

I will be counting any aerobic fitness tapes as replacements for Urban Ranger because it's better prep for my dancing and I don't have much of a reason for functional walking. I usually have too much stuff to schlepp around to park far from work and walk.

I second that -- go for tasty, rich, filling foods that you love that fit within the technical vanilla no-s guidelines. You've done amazing and can definitely do it again. Hang in there, T!

On exercise I was at the bare minimum yesterday too, but pushed myself to get that far and am happy for at least that.

Good job, Oolala! 9 days in and I'm doing well. I missed exercise twice (one of those excused, one not) and have had 100% No-S compliance (which includes partaking in some S's on S days). I'm looking forward to a more relaxed couple of days beginning with S and then another strong week to finish out the month.

I got my exercise and green N day in, but I split up the cardio into a few bouts. Still, I already feel springier. I'm going to get something peppy in today, though it's optional. There is a dance class I love at 5:00 p.m., but it's in a terribly hot dance studio. Not going.

I'm going to join for my first 90-day challenge...I love the idea!
(Will be vacationing for 5 days, Aug. 1 - Aug. 5 - not sure how I'll handle this...I know I will get plenty of walking in...we'll see! I may do one worthy S-treat per day if occasion arises. I have used that vacationing tactic in the past.)

* vanilla NoS and no over-the-top S-days

* I decided to edit my challenge and remove the exercise goal for now. With three red days already for NoS habits, I think it will be enough for me to focus on getting firm habits established for eating, especially with the added stress of school starting back up...exercise can come later.

Monday, 7/25 - Green NoS...green exercise! SUCCESS for both! Went swimming!
Tuesday, 7/26 - red for NoS (ate an evening snack) green for exercise - 1 hour of Zumba
Wed., 7/27 - green NoS...no formal exercise today
Thursday, 7/28 - Green for NoS...no formal exercise
Friday, 7/29 - Green for No...Green for exercise - walking/laundry

Saturday, 7/30 & Sunday, 7/31 - S-Days

Monday, August 1 - Friday, August 5 - VACATIONING - took them as S-Days, but had 30 minutes and usually much more, of walking/hiking exercise each day.

Saturday, August 6 & Sunday, August 7 - S-days, no exercise

Monday, August 8 - green day for NoS...no exercise
Tuesday, August 9 - RED day...say no more
Wednesday, August 10 - RED... one slip...but still a slip
Thursday, August 11 - GREEN
Friday, August 12 - GREEN

Got in my non-required walk with a walking partner this morning, about 90 minutes exploring a new route in the hood. It wasn't too too hot but I think we may need to start meeting earlier.

tobiasmom, you definitely had more exercise success than I did on your first 90 days. I also counted a lot of green days for you, more than 50, which, given that there were around 24 automatic yellow days, is pretty good.

Yay, mimi!

Hey, funfuture, where are you? With us in spirit? I hope so!

A couple weeks into round two of the challenge for me and I'm doing well on food, but not so great on exercise. I really need to find a way to do better on that. A couple of the days were off due to being sick and I've gotten it in some of the time, but a lot of the days I just didn't do it and know I'd feel so much better if I just stopped the laziness.

How's everyone else doing?

Hey Guys!! Starting Day 21 of the 90 day challenge and doing pretty good so far! Fingers crossed.....

Managing to get exercise in every day this week, since I got the exercise bike its gotten more convenient to get a little extra exercise in as I can peddle away whilst watching tv or listening to music. I usually 'only' manage 4 or 5 days of walking and take weekends off as I tend to be at work on weekends and can't always find the time or the impetus!

I've also signed up for the no weighing challenge officially starting tomorrow (1st August 2011). I'll most likely try not to weigh until the 90 days are up. For the record, I started the 90 day challenge weighing 173 lbs. I weighed 166 lbs yesterday however since it was an S Day, albeit moderate, (I had a dessert) it looks like I'm up to 168 lbs again this morning. That's one of the 'perils' of daily weighing, imho!!

Good luck all and I will check in at the end of 90 days with my results...hopefully with good news!!

Only missed one walking session last week. Everything else green. It's hot today and I had an ushering gig that kept me up. Then I couldn't fall asleep. So tired in the morning and I had an out -of-town guest that I didn't want to disturb with my resistance exercises. I realize now it was a bit of an excuse. I did walk tonight but didn't time myself. Did get in a few hills. Will do some arm/ upper body work before going to be. I remembered during my walk that I have a hiking vacation coming up in early October. Dang! Our hot weather is coming up and I need to be pushing myself!

Sadly, I'm posting a few too many reds up there, but I'm not giving up and that's the most important part, right? I'm ready for a week of solid greens for food and exercise!

How are you guys doing?

Hey, Julie...I'm with ya! I've had a rough past few weeks, but today was my first true GREEN in quite some time. Exercise AND three meals on the same day! ha. It was pretty easy in the beginning, but I've struggled lately.....

I think the most important thing is to keep going!!!

I just came back from vacation where I took them all as S-days...fortunately for me this get-away involved lots of walking and hiking! Today is the first green day for me for NoS...but, sigh, no exercise! I'll get it all together somehow this week!

Hey, all. I'll put this on my check in thread too, but I have been out of commission since Friday with what the doctors called labrynthitis. It has been dissipating but it basically means when you open your eyes it looks like the room is turning. and heaving In the beginning, it was so severe that I got nausea and vomiting and my blood pressure went up so I was taken to the ER in an ambulance. This happened to me around 5 years ago, but then I recovered in a few hours. I'm still home from work this time because, though the spinning is much milder, I don't trust myself to drive yet. The nausea is gone. I did eat after Friday and have been pretty lax, treating all days as S days, but that will stop today. I bet I can do some floor exercise, but I'm not sure yet about much walking. I look very much forward to being back in the saddle soon. I was going to say in the swing of things, but I want things to stop swinging!

Everyone else, I encourage you to take advantage f the fact that you can move!

That sounds awful, Oolala. I'm glad to hear you're on the mend! And I'll definitely keep it in mind tonight when I don't feel like doing my exercise and be happy that I at least actually can do it.

Really, it could be so much worse. I'm not in real pain, and doctors say no further damage is being incurred by the continued dizziness. It's mostly inconvenient, rather like a flu, but with no muscle-aching, fever, or sinus trouble. Just can't move around much! Hoping for the best tomorrow.

This was a good week for me. I had an unusual day and gave myself the day off exercise yesterday, to be made up today. Otherwise, clear and green all week and I'm feeling so much better for it.

Since my hospital trip, this is the first day I don't feel a little dizzy or a little nauseous. However, after a long sleep this morning, and a lazy afternoon, I am again tired. Don't know whether it's related or not.

I still didn't get any exercise in on Saturday, but I walked with a friend for an hour and did a kick-but Pilates class, too. I don't care that it wasn't a weekday. I am so happy to be moving again!

Monday and Tuesday were successes. Just updating that Oct. 11 will be the end of this round for me. That will be just after I return from a yoga/backpacking trip to Utah Canyonlands. I have 4 more Nazi Pilates classes that I bought in a cheap coupon series that will be part of this round. I had almost convinced myself to buy a hugely expensive series of more lessons to finish out 30 sessions on the influence of a claim that with 30 sessions, you would have a new body. I realize now, says who? Yeah, the guy selling it. Geesh, if I can't do 90 days of No S, pseudo Shovelglove and Urban Ranger/dance fitness for free, what business do I have committing to intensity that costs? If I can finish out this streak with more success, I'll consider giving myself the series as an early Christmas gift. But I have a feeling it will seem a moot point by then. Why torture myself achieving a body that will stay like that only if I continue something so expensive? But boy, I did feel noble making those slow movements and holding those proud poses. Ego!

I'm cheating by using new posts to update. Purely selfish. I'm more likely to do it if the thread stays up in the line.

Green No s and a kick-but Proformer Pilates class that covered resistance and cardio (40 min.) in my opinion.

Hi guys! Think I got mixed up with my dates somewhere along the line - well, DUH!!! ~LOL!

I've not been compliant with the No Weighing yet, sadly, BUT I have been pretty much No S compliant, particularly this past month or so. I've decided that my end of the 90 day round will be September 9th 2011 - which is a Friday. I was originally gonna make it the 12th (Monday) but decided after 2 S Days, that might not be a good idea.

I was however, very pleased to see that on 14th July 2011, I was actually 173 lbs and this morning when i weighed, I was 165 lbs (as I was the day before!!) I know my body has a habit of fluctuating, but that means I have lost to date - ta da!! - 8 lbs since 14th July 2011. I might be up one minute, down the next - in weight and mood - but for now, i am going to feel good about myself. Thanks for listening, folks. oolala - hope you have a great (forthcoming) vacation and all the very best for your birthday even though its a few weeks away!

I thought I was getting into it and then the heat wave hit here in San Diego. I have to be at work so early and don't have much control over when I can actually sleep at night; if I lie awake until midnight or 1 am, I am not going to force myself to get up early enough even for 15 minutes and if it doesn't happen in the cool morning, it ain't going to happen later in the day. We are supposed to get a reprieve on Friday and I do have an appt. for Pilates Proformer class tomorrow evening. And hope springs eternal.

But this is not 90 days yet for you, right? In any case, great results! I imagine what feels even better is how doable this seems. Not so hard to keep this up, right?

The heat finally broke here, AND we got a day off from work because of widespread power outages last night that they were not sure would be repaired by the time students had to get the buses for school. However, I've been lazing around. I thought I was going to get to go to a Pilates Plus class but all three got booked. I will be going to dance class, so that will count for my walking. I keep imagining myself powering through 14 minutes of resistance work but I don't get down and do it! In fact, I'm not even having a green N day. But, I swear, I am not going to sign up for some expensive classes or buy more DVD's when I'm not even using what I have! It's just not that hard!

Hi oolala! :D :D Thanks for your nice, encouraging words!

End of my 90 days? you know, I'm such a goof, I got a bit mixed up with the dates! Not sure when exactly the end was nigh (eek! for want of a better expression!) therefore I was gonna make September 9th (today) my official weigh in cos Ive been fairly compliant i.e. no cheats since June or July 2011. However, I've been doing No S (restart) since January 2011, so I really don't know what day I'm on now!! LOL! No biggie!!

I'm on No S for life anyway!!

Have a great weekend, everyone ! :)

Took the last of my series of 5 hi-test Pilates classes, and boy, how it hurts to cough! I have residual vulnerability from a throat infection and all kinds of things can bring on coughing. Ouch. Plus, I was convinced yesterday when I left that I hadn't gotten good work on my left buttock, but today it's telling me it worked just fine! Reminds me of the old days, when getting sore meant I was starting up a stint of regular exercise. Nowadays, I just keep suffering over and over because I'm stuck with revving my engines. However, maybe this will be the tipping point. I'm considering checking out the yoga studio in my neighborhood because of the 5-day yoga/backpacking vacation I'm going on in the beginning of October. I can work that into RE 90X easily.

I'm hanging on to hope. I left for work at 6:30 a.m. this morning and left work at 9:40 p.m. with a couple of hours off for dinner and emotional recovery from a conversation with an irate parent. I have that weird feeling where my eyes feel strained but I don't feel a healthy tired. I'm going to lie down. What happens is I'll finally fall asleep then toss and turn and finally feel I've finally started sleeping not long before I have to get up. I'm reluctant to make myself get up and exercise I know, I know, I really need ti, I'll feel better. Yeah, I've heard it and thunk it. but here I am. My food is okay. I still hope to get some consistency in over the next 12 days before I get to go to my yoga trip. Then I hope to be inspired to start a new cycle on Oct 12, which I think is the first day back with students after an upcoming 2-week break. (Remember, my district started the school year on July 17.)

It's so very, very hard with schedules like that. Just do the best you can. Maybe consider just getting in a 10-15 minute walk? But, really, doing the best you can is always the best answer.

I got kind of off track with an out of town conference, but am still pushing forward. Little by little I think I'll get there. It's just very slow going.

I've done horrible with checking in here the second 90 days. I'm starting a new 90 day check-in this week!

I want to acknowledge thtrchic for being the most consistent with posting and succeeding and tobiasmom for a recent renewal. I've had one, too, and will be going on my yoga/ backpacking trip in a few days, so things will be automatic those days. Doing yoga recently has made me get even more interested in staying consistent. I've been back to sticking with my eating, though it's only a few days, but I feel I have more reason to stick with it because I turned 58 and I want year 59 to be memorable. Getting weekends licked would be a big coup, but so would consistent exercise.

In any case, barring a fall off a real, not virtual, cliff, I will be starting another round on October 8, the day after my trip ends. I will weigh in on Oct. 9, a Sunday and then do so only quarterly during year 59.

Thanks, oolala. :) I'm definitely trying to post no matter what so that I can see what the results are actually like. And, of course, I'm try to actually be able to post successes!
