Strawberry Roan's Yearly Check In
One year check in since returned to NO S last July.
Starting Weight 158
Goal weight 145 (bounced off of a couple times but finally "got" it)
Current weight 144
For me the key has been no snacks and exercise daily, without fail.

MANY CONGRATULATIONS, Berry!!! BTW - excuse me if this sounds like a silly/obvious question - but does no snacks mean you don't snack or have S's on S Days??? I guess I am just so envious of your success and eager to have a similar outcome one of these days!!

Thanks to you both. I do feel like a HUGE weight has been lifted although to many it would not seem that way. However, now I do not even think about what will I wear, there is nothing that does not fit properly. No more tugging at the blouse to make sure it covers the bit of roll around the middle, no more sucking in the tummy when I walk in a room, etc. I just feel "lighter" and healthier overall. It just isn't something I think about anymore.
As far as the plan, I really am not a true No Ser, I suppose. I try to eat sanely seven days a week, the concept of total restriction for five days followed by total abandonment on two days, then repeat - began to make little sense to me. I know Reinhard doesn't suggest this way of eating but many say that they cannot wait for the S days to eat and eat and eat.
If I feel like I want a simple snack (like a 90 calorie Dreamsicle or a fatfree pudding or jellocup) I will have it, regardless the day. As far as candy, cookies, chips, etc. the same would apply I suppose - I just don't really eat them anymore. I post everything I eat on my daily journal, every single thing. That is what has kept me most honest. Even if nobody else were to read it, the thought that "everybody" could has kept me from reaching for certain foods knowing that I would be accountable.
And exercise, have not missed a day in so long I cannot remember when.
Thanks again.

Berry: Thanks so much for answering my query and detailing your approach to the No S plan. Fabulous!! Not sure I could be good for 7 whole days though - so highly commendable and great job done!!!

Wow! Victory! And what precision! Congratulations!
Thanks for the "mod" details. And don't sweat the differences from vanilla. If it's moderate, and it works for you, that's what's important. Orthodox no-s is a good default, or starting point to find personal moderation, but it's not necessarily everybody's ideal ending point.

Hi there...perhaps you might want to share your story with us. You have done fantastic. I know how hard it is to reach a goal weight and to be under your goal is even more special.
I for one would like to hear your testimony . Have you been on other diets, what brought you to No S, etc.
Looking forward to it, if you feel up for it

Thanks for your post, Maybe I should try posting everything I eat. I just finished one month of no S. Its a learning experience. I have the habit down pretty well but I'm still eating too much, piling the plate a bit, and too much essing on weekends. Last week I had a conference, 2 red days. We'll see if I l lost anything this first month! Waiting till Thursday and Friday to weigh in. Thanks again and congrats to you!
