Deb's NoS Fridge Sentinel...

Post by gratefuldeb67 » Tue Jan 10, 2006 3:07 pm

Hey Folks...
As many of you know, I have been searching for just the right image to scare the wits out of me, and keep me away from night time raids at the fridge... Seems at 2:30 am, not too much has been able to scare me off..
Actually, I've gotten soooo much better over these past few months..

Reinhard suggested the image of the thing in the fridge from the movie Ghostbusters... You know.. The glowing river of evil which says "Zeul..." to Sigourney Weaver? LOL..
Then I thought of using the three headed dog, from Dante's Inferno, named Cerebrus... Interestingly enough, Cerebrus was the dog who guarded the circle of Hell where all the Gluttons went for punishment...
Still,,, not scary or intimidating enough...

Well, I found a way of intimidating myself with the help of microsoft photo shop...
Here is my "Fridge Sentinel"...

I don't really want to mess with him!

LOL...

Now to print it out in a enlarged version and slap it on the fridge door!

Have a great day, and here's to no more night time raids!
Hee hee hee hee...

Peace, Love and Intimidation,
8) Deb

ps... Carolejo is going to add the photo after I post this, because I don't have a flicker account... Hopefully, she will get my message sometime today..... Stay tuned!

What a great idea Deb! I may have to print Neon Man to stick onto my own fridge.

I used to have a picture up on my fridge to prevent snacks. It was the reverse of what you did. I took digital photos of all of my favorite clothes that were just a tiiiiny bit too small to wear. I put all the photos together in a collage and printed it out, labeled "Reasons Not to Have That Snack!" It didn't work every time, but it sure helped, when I got to the fridge and saw a picture of that adorable little skirt that I bought last month on sale and was dying to wear!
Come to think of it, I should do another collage (with the latest season's clothes) and put it up next to Neon Man!

Happy No S'ing,

P.S. THERE IS NO DANA... ONLY ZOOL!!
(I love that movie.)

Yeah.. Neon man!
LOL...

I don't know why I picked those colors..
Ha ha...

Maybe the ensuing nausea from staring at dayglo for too long will reenforce the Pavlovian induced rejection of the refrigerator... (wow! was that a sentence or what?? LOL..)
And I can see it in the dark!
LOL....

I like your idea too! Like that little commercial about the eeny weenie polka dot bikini, Dannon commercial...

Well.. Whatever works!

Peace and Love,
8) Deb

Wow. I'm scary!

But I think it would be even more compelling with a "thou shalt."

Thanks Deb and Carolejo.

I found watching Super Size Me incredibly motivational. I should do it again.

Yeah...
Thou shalt not pass, is definitely cooler!
Oh well! LOL..

I've been doing pretty well on that forefront these days...
Yay!!!

Well Zeul didn't work
Cerebrus didn't work
I guess three times is a charm :)

And you look pretty scary! LOL..

Besides a "Thou shalt not pass" approach, I'm also really going for the water first... If I have a tiny bit of juice, then it's not a biggie either.. I'm just really making a point of staying away from solid food...

And when I don't I get nightmares big time...

Glad Neon Fridge Sentinel got such a nice reception...
He is a great sentinel folks! Watching my old habits as they try to sneak into that icebox unnoticed...

No more...
Fridgeman is always vigilant!!!!
And ready to kick ass! LOL..

Peace and Love,
8) Deb

I don't know, I kinda like the "You Shall Not Pass...." which is not to say that Deb is a Balrog:

I have to say, I'm enough of a geek that I just assumed Rein's picture was in firey orange with those particular words cos he's meant to be 'Gandalf' - bathed in flames from a balrog  For some reason, I hadn't considered that THAT made Deb into the Balrog itself though.

Okay.. I ate at night for a couple of days this week... I wrote about this on a long post on my thread, but I wanted to reassert that I am going to reverse this as of now!

On a happy note, I realize that I haven't eaten at night for almost a whole month... That is a really long time for me...
Eating at night out of stress, and just bad habits started with me in my pre teens and was a nightly occurrence for years... So actually, a whole month is a record for my adult life, I think...

Well, time to get a printer and print out my trusty sentinel!!!!!
LOL...

Have a great day!
Peace and Love,
8) Deb
