Down 65 pounds

(New!) Read (or post) about people who have stuck with No-S for 10 or more months, lost 10 or more pounds, or 10 or more percent for their starting weight. Periodic updates strongly encouraged -- you can think of it as "Yearly Check In."

Down 65 pounds

Post by Nicest of the Damned » Wed Jul 24, 2013 7:22 pm

I just got back from a doctors appointment (that's the only time I weigh). I'm now down 65 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. I've been doing No S since 2010, but my doctor could only look up my weight from 2011. I'm sure I've lost even more weight than that, just don't know how much.

Fantastic! The fact that you're doing it without gritting your teeth is even more impressive.

Weighed again, still down 60

Post by Nicest of the Damned » Mon Jan 06, 2014 9:50 pm

I went to the doctor again today. I'm up about 3 pounds, but that's still down more than 60 from where I was, so I'm pretty happy.

There is a certain amount of teeth-gritting involved, though. Most weeks, there is at least one occasion where I tell myself "S days are coming, S days are coming". That and "there are only 20 baby teeth" are my mantras these days (Nicest Toddler is teething again).

Happy New Year, Nicest! Congrats on basically maintaining your weight, even through a second teething. You're still beating the odds.

Still around the same weight at a doctor visit today. Nicest Toddler is still teething, too. She's had the first molars come in (*that* was fun), and is now drooling a lot, so we suspect the canine teeth may be about to make an appearance.

Congratulations, Nicest! "More of the same" is the best kind of news when maintaining this kind of a loss -- particularly with the added challenge of wrangling a toddler (however nice!). Thanks for letting us know!
