HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Here we go for the first month of the new year!

:P     :) :)
     :) :)

I hope my yellow faces on N days haven't confused anyone? I was doing a juice thing - so 'eating' more than three times a day - but I don't consider it to be RED because it was a CHOICE. I am going to continue juicing at least once a week, and use :P for juice days.

Awesome! I hope to work more on walking this month.

My calendar:

********** :) 02 :)
04 05 06 07 :) 09 :)
11 12 13 14 :) :) :)
18 19 :) 21 :) 23 :)
25 26 27 28 :) 30 :)

My normal S days are Fridays and Sundays. I have two NWS days this month. One is for the weekend I'm a sponsor for our youth retreat (I'm actually hoping that Saturday will be more like my normal N days, but given I'll have no control over the food and may be hungrier than normal with all the activity (or cold and want hot cocoa etc...), I figured I'd better plan on it being an S day. The other NWS day is for my dd's birthday. 17! My baby is growing up...

I'm fairly new to all this but I'm in !

Feel a bit sluggish after the festive period and too many s days over the holidays.

Back to it yesterday and hoping to modify unhealthy attitudes to food and weight after years of dieting

I think my NWS days will be the 5th for train travel and the 14th for my birthday. (Amended the S day to the 15th, when I had 3 small rum balls and some French chocolate. Actual birthday easily fit into an N day with cranberry pancakes for breakfast and rice/beans/dill mushrooms for supper.)
I decided to take an S day on Friday the 8th and forgo Sunday the 10th. I had the opportunity to have cake and coffee on my last afternoon in Joburg, and have nothing going on, on Sunday, so that seemed to make sense.
Yay, it was a good month!

This thread has been super helpful to me this month (and the December one was super helpful last month).
Just bumping this up so others see it. It's never too late to join in the month, and it's so much more fun using the emoticons, rather than just "green" "yellow" or "red". Give it a try!

Thank you, Rawcookie! I actually got myself a juicer the day before Christmas Eve, and I like it a lot. So on some days I am juicing as well. :D

Yeah! Only one more N day to go - then we end the month with two fabulous S days! I felt momentarily disappointed by my two RED days this month - but I'm over it now - this has been a good month of victory over temptation! (I guess I can award myself a bronze medal!)

Perhaps you'd like to kick the February one off Sonya? If you're in Horn of Africa you might just see 1st February a few hours before me?

Well, since the last two days of January are s days, I guess I'm ending the month with a total of 6 red days. I was hoping for" bronze" status and didn't get it this time. It was my birthday month and my son had pneumonia along with some other stressors, so I definitely did better than I would have without No S. Looking forward to starting over in February! Good month, everyone!
