~~~~~April Challenge~~~~~
Post by osoniye » Wed Mar 30, 2016 2:27 pm
I know I'm jumping the gun again, but I love these challenges, and want to give everyone the chance to gear up!
Not off to a great start, but hoping for great things for the month!
Taking an NWS day on 04/04 for a family birthday evening out.
Experiencing other problems, but finally got a green day!!
Well, the end of the month shaped up better than the beginning!
Onward!!
I'm in but I hope I remember to check in. And I'm doing it more for exercise than eating.
APRIL! 9 S days!
My weeks start with Monday and end with Sunday
I'm juicing for 5 days from 3rd-7th
:arrow: :arrow: :arrow: :arrow: :mrgreen: :) 8)
:oops: :mrgreen: :mrgreen::mrgreen: :cry: :) :)
:cry: :cry: :) :oops: :mrgreen: :) :)
:oops: :oops::mrgreen::mrgreen: :mrgreen: :)
8) means a juicing day
:cry: means it was a sick day - basically N day, but with cough sweets sucked as necessary!
20th became an S day as I was invited to a lunch-time party with neighbours.
21st turned red due to afternoon tea & cake with a friend - what's happening this month!
25th - had a bit of a carb-fest in the afternoon - shortbread & Bombay Mix! April hasn't been such a great month for me!
26th became red for the sake of four not-very-nice chocolate-covered coffee beans - doh!
Waaa, how come my icons don't work? Did everybody do theirs by hand or could you copy and paste? Mine is a copy and paste.
Gonna try some mods for April to see if they help decrease my red days. 1. Allow a small evening snack( I've been having trouble sleeping because I'm so hungry at night), and 2. my S days will run from dinner on Friday until3pm on Sunday. UPDATE: I have not been starting s days on Friday evening after all. The snack is helping. I've been having a cup of milk with. 90 calorie fiber bar around8:30pm.
Hi Oolala,
I think for the "cool" one, you need to have a colon before and after the word "cool" the green one is (colon)mrgreen(colon).
No, a copy and paste won't work, it doesn't work because the coding's wrong - you need to set it up yourself using the emoticons. If you know how to do it, you can type it in
8) :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: 8)
04/20 - I will be finishing this challenge but I won't be posting online for a while. I am taking a break from this discussion board and trying to treat NoS like it's as natural as brushing my teeth which means not talking or thinking about it so much.
04/23 - Apparently I love a challenge way to much not to come in here and post my achievement
04/30 - Since starting NoS I have not lost an ounce (I feel like I've gained weight actually) and I have thought about food more than I ever have in my life and kind of got depressed. I quit!!! Thanks to all the amazing people on this board and good luck on your journey!!
I copy mine by using the quote button. It pulls up the quote, I copy only the emoticon calendar, and then go back, make a new post and paste the calendar into that post. It sounds convoluted, but it's really quite quick.
3/31: Looking forward to lots of GREEN this month! I am ending March on a high note. I'm so happy that No S has finally become effortless. There were lots of little bumps in the road in March but I think it's finally becoming my habit again. It seems natural and easy.
4/4: I had a very moderate weekend. Yay! N day habits carrying over to S day. :D
4/12: I am so close to a 21 Day streak! There is a rumor that one of my co-workers will be bringing in cake & ice cream to work today to celebrate the North Dakota Fighting Hawks winning the Frozen Four. I am going to have to say no to this. It isn't someone's birthday, the cake is going to be made from a box (not special enough to ruin an N Day), and I could honestly care less out the hockey win. LOL. So I will be turning that down and am one day closer to that streak!
4/26: Wow, this month is flying by! I have a work conference the 27th - 29th and I am determined to finish out this month GREEN!
+1 That's how I do it, too. Except I delete the quote coding at the top and bottom, along with whatever else I don't want to include. (Instead of copying, and pasting into a new post.)
4/1 - Okie - on 4/5 I'm pulling out the scale for the first monthly weigh in!! I'm not expecting a lot - since my weekends have been a good case of overindulgence. As they go on - I'm finding I don't need/want the goodies as much, preferring instead to treasure the small but really beautiful sweet. Maybe this ol'dog CAN learn new tricks!!! :D
4/5 - Well, yesterday wasn't a total bust, just little bitty mistakes most of the afternoon, so getting back ON the horse today. Scale came out for 1 month weigh-in - and lost 4 lbs... I expected to stay the same - so this was a surprise!! AWESOME!!! Now putting it back away for another month!!! LOL
4/8 - Awesome after Monday - But had some serious interesting things happening - including nausea between meals. Wondering if that's not some food allergies coming to light? Or just hormones?
4/26 - You know these monthly grids help put things in perspective. I was pretty down yesterday due to overeating a LOT on Friday, Sat AND Sunday... but then you look at the month - and I'm feeling a little better about it.
I so rarely remember to come here. I know i've had relatively good compliance.
But today for sure, I did my 14 minutes.
Good luck chili pepper! Drop in and say hi from time to time. :D
I wish sitting and being online was as healthy as moderate exercise.
Hope to check in and bump up to the end of the month.
Failed yesterday at exercise, today at eating. Hmmph. No, not related. Been waking up way early. Can't convince myself to work out then. Get caught up in other activities and don't stop at the regular time for exercise. Lame excuse!
Four more days in April! I can do this!
Got in a workout yesterday. A fellow philosophy student asked me today what kind of workout I do. I told her about 14 minutes, since it's what I do most consistently. I know she was asking because I've lost a little over the last couple of months; she commented that I was looking like a teenager, which, trust me, is an exaggeration, but I knew where it was coming from, and I did thank her. I also know the exercise plays only a small part. She is a sweet person, but I get the sense that she is not willing to be orderly in her eating, which I'm pretty sure is 80% of the formula.
