After seeing the post about the 600-lb, guy who lost, I couldn't help but post this. It's a bit tricky to get to, but here it is. I guess the story was that this man told his doctor he was going to fast with or without the doctor's help, so the doctor agreed. The research team waited until he had kept his weight off for five years before publishing. Not sure what happened after that, but the odds of regain after five years is "only" 25%.
