No S Vanilla Light!

Post by Mustloseweight » Tue Feb 07, 2017 8:19 pm

Hello everyone!

I hope that everyone is well. I didn't want to post when I restarted my latest No S attempt until I knew for sure that it was working. I am proud to report that my Vanilla Light No S is working for me. As a binge eater I couldn't do S days for two days a week without bingeing for two days a week. My Vanilla Light No S limits S days so that they reflect how I ate as a child in the 70's with a full time housewife mum and strict budgets for all things through 'housekeeping weekly money'. Therefore it is three meals a day except on S days which include my birthday, my husbands birthday (if I want to - IIW2), my daughters birthday, any holiday we have as we only go once in about three years, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day. So far I have lost nine pounds since 1 Jan 2017. No chocolate, no cake, biscuits, sweets, puddings or sweet tasting things. Loving it because after the first week of cold turkey withdrawal, it was easy. I am already planning my birthday cake which I will have specially made as a real treat! I will allow myself one Easter egg on Easter Sunday. Anyhow, it us working for me and I just wanted to say to anyone frightened of 2 weekly S days, you don't have to have them seeing as we often forget the 'sometimes' on an S day.

XxxxxxxGood Luck EveryonexxxxxxxxX

oh. i used to live with never hungry but limited budgets all my life untill i moved to switzerland, the easy living country (compared to where i come from)... and now im doing my budgeting on weekly envelope systems... such a great way do handle finances, even if not in real need to do it so for survival, but for curiosity and pleasure... sounds like what you are describing as 70s weekly money... so great...

Good for you! S-Holidays always seem to be just around the corner. Have you thought about the leftovers of your birthday cake, and how you will handle that?

Note that this was after a period of experimentation. I do things now that I couldn't have done in the beginning.

Still lost nine pounds and no gain which is a real achievement for me because just recently I had started to gain quite rapidly as my chocolate, sweet, biscuit, cake and pudding consumption went off the scale on a daily basis. When the inclination to break my own rule takes hold of me I can clearly see that I am not physically hungry, but stressed, unhappy or bored. I am learning to ignore these emotions by not giving in each day and we are having some decorating done to our living area right now which is really stressing me out. I eat exactly what I want on a plate, three times a day, now I need to build daily exercise into the mix so bearing in mind a few weeks staying the same, I think exercise will push me into the right direction. I am considering fourteen minutes as recommended with shovel glove, but using kettlebells instead because I have a set. Fingers crossed. Onward and downward!

I found a long email in my outbox to you. This is a different box than the sent box, which means you didn't get it. I haven't looked at it very carefully to see if it might have too much overlap with a post I put on another thread you started about WW back in 2016. How is Vanilla Light going?
