That's right, raw cookie! I have something planned for almost every weekend in April which should motivate to keep N days green.

I'm in (as always)!
This is going to be a great month for NoS. I'm also planning to weigh daily. Between that and daily check-ins I hope to remain accountable!
Cheers!

19th 20th I will be on a short holiday so am allowng myself 2 special days, I hope it's enough to see me through, holiday is actually 18th - 21st

Not a great start!!

I ate to soothe my emotions on the 20th. I had a meeting with my mothers mental health team and it left me feeling very guilty and sad.

haha, bluebell,of course feel free to copy it... im hopeless in getting the smileys perfectly alligned...
oh, and great for the trip to spain... i used to go there pretty regularly (cheap flights) but now cant find time in more than 3 years...
a couple of good friends moved to barcelona recently, even building a music studio there, so i reeealy have to go there...
the holidays were a big fear for me on noS... and i have found in this year that noS is relatively holiday-friendly... there are couple of threads with holiday advice and experiences here on the forum... that, support from the lovely people on this forum and keeping a fairly regular check-in helps a lot to minimise the damage while still enjoying it to the fullest...

Thanks kaalii, I will search for the holiday threads, this is my first time away with NoS so am a bit nervous! We are going to Cadiz, my husband is working there so we'll be able to see him in the evenings and lounge on the beach in the day!
One thing that will help is that I am having my Invisalign braces fitted before we go, and you have to take them out to eat then brush before you put them back in, so definitely no snacking! Its the seconds and sweets I will have to watch.

Try to keep in mind how much better it feels to eat modestly, even when you're exposed to food you might not get often, and DO savor every bite you DO take. Remember that beverages are allowed. I've cut way back on between-meal drinks, but when I'm on vacation, it seems like such a civilized way to stop and enjoy the ambience. But if it really feels right to be more relaxed, try it. You'll find out soon enough if it's more satisfying.

And fill up on the rest of the experience. What an opportunity!

Bump
And thank you oolala for that sound advice about our holiday, we go on Tuesday, I am definitely looking forward to a bit of a break and also, as you say, savouring every bite. Beverages between meals for me are now water only as I have my braces in! Its really helping with NoS, definitely no snacking between meals!

I'm not sure that thread has the same momentum this month, for some reason - has it stopped being effective for people?

I always like the check-in threads. Busier month for me though and I haven't been on as much.

Rawcookie I know what you mean, but personally I find them very helpful, infact i have done one for each of the 7 months I've been following NoS and would feel a bit lost without it!

When the May thread gets started, I'll ask that people sometimes bump the thread up in addition to updating their daily calendars so laggards like me get reminded to check in.

I don't know how to make a challenge thread, I usually just copy someone else's
I would like to be part of one if anyone is able to start it off.

Anyone can start it. You can copy someone else's calendar later and edit it into your post. I will wait for someone else just because I'm so bad at keeping up!
