Counting carbs/calories is a drag. Obsessive scale stepping is a recipe for despair. If you want to count something, "days on habit" is a much better metric. Checking off days on a calendar would do just fine, but if you do it here you get accountability and support. Here's how. Start a new topic in this forum called (say) "Your Name Daily Check In." Then every N day post a "reply" to that topic as to whether you stayed on habit. A simple "<font color="green">SUCCESS</font>" or "<font color="red">FAILURE</font>" (or your preferred euphemism if that's too harsh) is sufficient, but obviously you're welcome to write more if you want. On S-days just register that you're taking an S-day. You don't have to do this forever, just until you're confident you've built the habit. Feel free to check in weekly or monthly or sporadically instead of daily. Feel free also to track other habits besides No-s (I'm keeping this forum under No-s because that's what the vast majority are using it for). See also my <a href="/habitcal/">HabitCal</a> tool for another more formal (and perhaps complementary) way to track habits.

I trust you've been enjoying yourself more than you might have on a diet that might have had you lose faster, and you're lighter to boot! I started near where you were, but had not been at your goal BMI since I was in the 8th grade, and will probably not get there again, but life is definitely better! I also lost only 10 lbs. in a couple of months, I think, and then stalled for quite awhile, so your rate is better than mine was.

Just keep going!

Ella, I also appreciate that you list your weight as BMI. I know some people don't like it, but I think it is appropriate for most, not as a health measure or a beauty measure but just as a bit better picture of what is happening Losing 10 lbs. can mean so much difference depending on the body. Even losing tenths of a BMI point can be, too. But overall, I think it's more instructive. And the lower the BMI, the more significant any drops are, IMHO. It's a LOT easier to go from BMI 40 to 39 than it is to go from 25 to 24 for most people.
