Success for a Monday and Tuesday - thank goodness

Early suppers seem to be the key for me

And week four of my running is done

I have now signed up for a 10K run in August and a half Marathon in October

Eek! 😬

Success for Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday. Weekend away with meals out and ice cream but not too much madness.

The great news is that I have now decided my size 16 trousers are too big to be respectable and have moved over to my size 14s! So pleased to have dropped a dress size at last. My weight has not yet completely recovered from skiing and the week that went wrong at the beginning of May but I am only 1 lb over my lowest weight to date so hoping to have some good news there before too much longer.

The running is going well and I am now on week 6 of my training plan and ran for 20 minutes straight on Saturday morning.

Thanks Lilybug

Success

We are away for half term next week. It is harder to stick to the habit but not impossible. We are self catering so can limit temptations.

thanks Skycat - I will, it is holiday time after all.

Great news this morning to keep me motivated though - a new lowest weight to date at last. 11st 4.75 lb this morning. Very Happy

Half term is lovely especially if you get the week off work. It is a week off school half way through the term.

I did fine on the bank holiday Monday with a success but had a full on failure yesterday afternoon. Self catering is only good for minimising temptations if you don't buy any Embarassed

Out to lunch today so will see if I can avoid pudding!

Do you want to avoid it? Or are you giving yourself the option? Is it worth declaring a NWS day?

I wanted to stick to it but have had a very similar failure today. Once I start in the afternoons I can just keep on eating. 🙁

June tomorrow - a new month a new start 🙂

I call afternoons the witching hour. That was when my compulsive eating of sweets and starches would start and not stop until bed time.

I used decaf mochas a lot in the beginning, though you don't have to. Can you change your dinner time for a bit, to decrease the gap?

You are in good company.

I agree that having June start might be helpful as well as envisioning how glad you'll be on Saturday if you have two green days to round out the week.

You can do it!

New month new start.

Under your last post, there were two books advertised with the witching hour in their titles. Next time, there'll probably be four, now that I've used the term again.

The power of advertising on the internet ....

Success for Friday, Monday and Tuesday. June is looking good so far.

Slightly behind with my running this week but I have done the first one. Might have to do two days in a row against advice.

Success for a Wednesday and Thursday. A minor failure for Friday when I kept extending supper with nibbles of crisps and cheese..

I decided to have an N day today as an experiment towards only one S day per week and that was a success. Felt quite good to be back on the habit after just one day off. Saturday was a reasonable S day - maybe one to many sweets for my liking but never mind.

There is certainly no obligation to have an S on an S day. I think of them as S days because of the OPTION, not actually having an S at all.

When you feel sweets have become a burden is the best time to limit them.

Onwards to Monday!

Another single S day this weekend. Still running and I ran my 2nd 5k this evening.

Success for Monday and Tuesday - June is looking good on the habitcal

I was tired hot and grumpy today and craving chocolate but the habit held out and I didn't succumb.

Thanks Oolala

I am counting today as a success despite quite a large dinner out but no pudding at least and no snacking.

June looks lovely on the habitcal with just one red

Not sure why the day wouldn't be a success even if the dinner was large. It is all part of the mix until it isn't. Smile

Oh I know - don't tell me off. I tend to give myself a green when it is boarder line- there are enough 'proper' failures. Then I confess on here. It works for me 🙂

Great news this morning - new low of 11st 1.75 lb which means I am down by just over a stone and a half 😁.

This half stone has been a long time coming but I have kept going and here we are. I am keeping on with my one S day per week - I think this is the mod for S days that I have found the easiest to stick to. A very clear boundary. I did feel that I had plateaued before then and now things are moving again.

9 months in now and no sign of getting fed up!

Congrats! Have you already posted on the testimonial page before? A stone and a half is more than 10 lbs.

Thanks guys. Yes I posted at 1 stone loss. Will be back there at 2 stone or one year.

Success for today. Resisted biscuits at school and interval snacks at a show.

Success for Friday, Monday and Tuesday. Failure for Sunday - baking is always tricky! S day Saturday was ok but would have been better with one rather than two scones.

I ran 5k in a park run on Saturday which was fun.

I'm in awe of sweets bakers. If I legitimately had people to bake for, I'd consider facing the gauntlet. Rarely did any stuff get baked, never mind get to any recipients. If anyone enjoyed yours, kudos! But I know it's worth the higher standard you set for yourself. I have faith you'll get there.

We don't bake much because I can't resist it! But the children love to do it so we do sometimes.

Success for yesterday and a new low of 11st 1lb today. Last day of school term today so no more routine till September. Hope the habits are well enough engrained to make it through.

I bake on some S days. If it's something like cookies, I usually put a couple in a baggie and put them in my drawer. That way, as the kids are eating them during the week, I don't care if they finish them off because I know I still have two for my next S day.

So far so good with the change of routine.

Thanks Chanda, hope it's going well

Success for Monday, fail for Tuesday and Today. Yesterday was worse - snacks around meal times. Today was fine apart from three maltesers. I even avoided ice cream at the theatre which is always good.

Nixing the theater food is a big win.

Thank you. I like the theatre and ice cream at the interval is quite engrained in me so I am always proud when I don't.

Successes for Thursday and Friday - back in the groove.

I pretty much cut the food at theaters habit even before no ass, and honestly it's still a relief when I go in and know I'm not gonna get anything. Judith Beck says it's when we give ourselves a choice too often that we feel the struggle.

Success for Sunday, Monday and a Tuesday. New low of 11st 0.75 lb this morning. Crazy S day on Saturday that made me glad to be going straight back to N days.

The running is still ongoing. I have my 10K race in just under two weeks. I am a bit behind on the training so quite nervous about how it will go.

Thank you Whosonfirst.

The progress seems to have picked up this week and I am down another pound and across the 11 st barrier at 10st 13.75lb this morning.

Possibly a bit of dehydration after a long run yesterday afternoon but I'll take it Wink

back to work for a long day today and then a tribute band concert tonight - should be fun.

Goodness, it has been nearly 2 weeks since I last posted. All ticking along fine with lots of green on my habitcal which I have been marking. I did my 10 k in just under 1 hr 20 min so am pleased with that. No more weight off so a bit of a plateau but that is fine after my quick drop last month - a bit of consolation.

Plateaus are sure better than gaining back! It must mean your habits are relatively steady.
